VALORANT has three main Rifle options: the Phantom, the Vandal, and the Warden. No one Rifle is best overall, but each is strongest for different situations.

When to Use the Phantom in VALORANT

The Phantom is best in close-range areas. It can be stronger on some maps than others: for example, Bind has many more close angles, while you’ll probably have a hard time using the Phantom on Breeze.

This weapon is also great if you have shaky aim or play an Agent with lots of movement. Since it has higher accuracy overall, it can secure you kills that you’d otherwise miss if you relied on the one-shot Vandal strategy. When to Use the Vandal in VALORANT

The Vandal is best for long-range maps, for example Breeze, and long angles like Haven C-Long. It has no damage falloff and can deliver a one-shot headshot kill at any distance.

You’ll notice that certain Agents are better suited for this weapon because of their long-range skill. Jett and Chamber tend to favor it. Their abilities make it easy to escape without punishment if they miss their first shot. When to Use the Warden in VALORANT

The Warden rifle works best when players hold long sightlines or wide open angles. If you usually like snipers but want a more versatile pick, this is the gun for you.

Its built in 2x scope and tight accuracy make it another strong pick for maps with long lines of sight. This gives players sniper-like precision without committing to an actual sniper rifle.

The Warden is not the weapon you want if you aim to constantly be in the fray. Duelists who want to rush site won’t like this option. It is, however, a solid choice for slower, more calculated playstyles. The smaller magazine and reduced fire rate reward patient, well placed shots over spray control.
