How to Unlock Hush in VALORANT: All Methods Explained

Riot Games has released Hush, the newest Agent in VALORANT, alongside Patch 13.09. She is counted as the 30th or 31st Agent, depending on how you count the roster. If you want to play her, there are four ways to get her. Some are free but need time, while others are instant but need money or a subscription. This VALORANT guide explains each one so you can pick what suits you.

How To Get New Agent Hush in VALORANT

1. Agent Recruitment Event (Free)

This is the free option. You unlock Hush by playing the game and earning experience points, known as XP.

• What you need: 200,000 XP earned during the event.
• Event dates: October 28, 2026 to November 25, 2026. This is a 28-day window, so you have about a month.
• How it works: Older Agent unlock systems asked you to manually turn on a “contract” before XP counted. The new recruitment system tracks your XP automatically, so there is nothing to activate.

All the XP you earn counts toward the 200,000 goal. This includes matches in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Spike Rush, plus XP from daily and weekly missions. The moment you hit 200,000 XP, Hush unlocks right away.

2. Buy Hush With VP (Paid)

If you don’t want to wait, you can pay to unlock Hush directly.

• Cost: 1,000 Valorant Points (VP), which is roughly $10 USD.
• Where to buy: Open the Agents tab in the game, select Hush, and purchase her with VP.

This skips the XP requirement completely, so you can play her immediately. VP is the game’s premium currency, which you buy with real money through the in-game store.

3. Xbox Game Pass (Instant Access)

If you already have Xbox Game Pass, you may not need to do anything to unlock the new agent.

• What you need: An active Xbox Game Pass membership (PC or Ultimate) linked to your Riot account.
• How it works: With a linked account, Hush unlocks automatically from day one as part of the Game Pass Day-1 Agent access benefit.

Keep in mind that you can use her only while your subscription stays active. If the membership ends, access ends with it.

4. Kingdom Credits (After the Event Ends)

Kingdom Credits (KC) are a currency you collect through regular play, and they can be used to unlock Agents. You can’t use them for Hush right away, though.

• Cost: 8,000 Kingdom Credits.
• When it opens: Only after the 28-day recruitment event finishes.
• How it works: If you miss the 200,000 XP goal by November 25, 2026, the recruitment event expires. From then on, you can unlock Hush permanently with 8,000 KC from your account. Kingdom Credits are capped at 10,000, so you can store enough for her.

Tips to Unlock Hush Faster for Free

If you’re going the free route, these habits will help you reach 200,000 XP before the event ends.

• Prioritize weekly missions. Weekly missions give the biggest XP rewards, usually 20,000 to 30,000 XP or more per set. They also don’t expire until the end of the Act, so you can finish them at your own pace.
• Complete your daily checkpoints. Each one gives a small amount of XP, but doing them regularly adds up steadily over 28 days.
• Play Swiftplay or Spike Rush when short on time. These modes have shorter matches, so you finish more games per hour. That helps you complete missions faster and earn more match XP in the same amount of time.

No matter which route you take, you can get Hush without much trouble. Just keep an eye on the event dates if you are going for the free option.

Where is Hush From?

Hush hails from Guangdong, China. This makes her the third Chinese agent in Valorant, alongside Iso and Sage.

How Old is Hush?

Players are curious about Hush’s backstory. Valorant has a diverse cast of characters, from the old-fashioned leader Brimstone to the young Dungeons and Dragons enthusiast Clove.

Riot Games has not shared an official age for Hush. There is no confirmed birthdate or exact number anywhere in her lore.

Fans can still make an educated guess from what is known about her background. Her plotline covers growing up, then spending several years working in secret inside the Kingdom Corporation. She is shown alongside Agents like Iso, who is a young adult. Putting these clues together, she is generally estimated to be in her early-to-mid 20s. Until Riot says otherwise, that remains a fan estimate and not a confirmed fact.
