EsportNow.gg is an independent esports media outlet. This policy describes how we gather information, make editorial decisions, handle commercial relationships, and correct mistakes.
Editorial decisions — what to cover, how to frame it, and what conclusions to draw — are made by our editorial staff and are not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or commercial partners. Paid relationships of any kind are disclosed clearly wherever they exist. Our news coverage and analysis are never for sale.
We verify information before publication. For breaking news, we aim to confirm with at least one independent source before publishing. Where a claim comes from a single source and cannot be independently confirmed, we say so in the article. We do not knowingly publish false information. When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently — see our Corrections Policy.
We prefer named sources. We use anonymous sources only when the information is important to readers, when the source has direct knowledge, and when the source cannot speak on the record for legitimate reasons (e.g., contractual restrictions or personal safety). We do not quote anonymous sources who are simply unwilling to be associated with a true statement out of embarrassment or to score points against a rival.
Staff and contributors must disclose any personal or financial relationship with a team, organisation, or individual they cover. Staff with a material conflict of interest will not write or edit the relevant story. We do not accept gifts, free trips, or preferential access that could compromise our independence. Review copies of games received from publishers are disclosed in the relevant content.
EsportNow.gg generates revenue through advertising, affiliate partnerships, and sponsored content. Sponsored and affiliate content is always labelled clearly. Affiliate links (where we earn a commission if you make a purchase) are identified with a disclosure at the top of the relevant page. Neither advertising nor affiliate relationships affect our editorial coverage.
Content that represents the opinion or analysis of a writer is labelled as such. Opinion pieces reflect the views of the author and not necessarily the editorial position of EsportNow.gg. Analytical content is grounded in evidence and reasoning; if an analytical conclusion is contested, we include the counterargument.
We may use AI tools to assist with research, summarisation, or initial drafts. All published content is reviewed, edited, and approved by a member of our editorial team before publication. AI-generated content is never published without human oversight. We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, statistics, or events.
