On September 24, 2026, Gentle Mates CEO Lucas ‘Squeezie’ Hauchard reportedly went live on stream, interacting with fans and esports enthusiasts. However, while switching scenes, Squeezie accidentally leaked his VCT trial notes. The notes tab contained comments about several well-known VCT EMEA players, like Boaster, Alfajer, Marteen, and Loita.

Transcribed and translated from Gentle Mates’ native French, they said:

• Loita will not play with Alfa
• Engh explain Alfa problem to marteen
• Boaster can’t control Alfa.”

‘Alfa’ refers to Alfajer, who has played for FNATIC since 2022. Boaster is FNATIC’s IGL. Meanwhile, Loita is an active player for Turkish group BBL Esports.

The leaks quickly went viral, especially due to their contents. 2026 has been the first year in VCT history that FNATIC has not qualified to VALORANT Champions, so netizens questioned whether the info shed some light on the team’s performance this season.

Is Alfajer Joining Gentle Mates?

For several days, industry rumors from Sheep Esports and other sources have alleged Alfajer may be set to join Gentle Mates for the 2027 VCT season. Alfajer has not yet confirmed this theory, but the new player trial leaks seem to lend it some weight.

Meanwhile, Gentle Mates’ marteen will reportedly be leaving to join FNATIC. FNATIC IGL Boaster also stated earlier in September that he is ‘exploring other options’ outside of the team.

This would be a significant shift for FNATIC, as the org’s roster has remained relatively consistent for years, with Boaster and Alfajer as its longest-standing players.

CEO Squeezie Responds to the Leaks: ‘Not Facts or My Personal Opinion’, ‘90% False’

Shortly after the leaks arose, Squeezie took to X.com to respond. He cautioned:

“Just to be clear [these] notes are not facts or my personal opinion. It’s just some of the things a player told me during a call before my stream.“

Squeezie clarified that gathering information about a player’s previous team synergy is a standard practice before admitting them to the org.

“We do many calls with so many players, and a lot of things are being said by them on each-other. Reality is that a lot of these informations are false and are being spread by others to serve their own interest. I’m totally fine with that but as a CEO I have to hear all of these informations to find out what’s true and what’s false.”

Squeezie said, “in this case, 90% were false.”

Squeezie apologized to players and team members in the leaks: “I don’t want to cause any trouble to anyone, and wish you all the best.”
