For the past week, Counter-Strike esports fans have been chatting about BC Game’s mysterious 5th player. After plenty of hints, the roster is finally complete: The MongolZ mzinho is joining the team. Here’s everything to know about the move.

BC Game Announces mzinho is Joining the Team

BC Game has been busy assembling the Counter-Strike Avengers, with legendary pro s1mple, NaVi core player electroNic, and Astralis IGL Magisk all on its starting lineup. The team recently filled its fourth slot with The MongolZ player Senzu, and it has now announced its final roster addition.

BC Game has now confirmed fellow The MongolZ star Ayush “mzinho” Batbold will become its 5th player, according to a July 9 X.com post that revealed: “The wait is finally over.”

The message continued, stating, “You know what’s better than 1 Mongol? Today we welcome one of the most exciting young talents in the scene! Already a Major playoffs regular at just 19, there’s no slowing him down – yes, it’s [mzinho].”

BC Game added a montage of mzinho’s best moments on the digital battlefield. In addition, a follow-up reassured fans from his former team that “We haven’t forgotten you” and BC Game appreciates “the development supporters of Mongolia.”

The MongolZ Respond

In a goodbye post on X.com, The MongolZ simply wrote, “Thank you, mzinho. Thank you for everything and good luck in the future.”In addition, they stated that mzinho is moving to an ‘inactive status.’

mzinho’s move to BC Game is bittersweet for The MongolZ’s fans, who watched the organization climb to top-tier competitive form with him on the lineup. Many netizens in the community are concerned about whether the team’s roster can bounce back after losing two core members. User @cashjpg worries, “The MongolZ will never be a top team ever again.” However, another commenter posted a picture of the team’s coach, writing, “He will find a way.”

The MongolZ’s Storyline

The MongolZ experienced one of the most significant underdog arcs in Counter-Strike history. The team comes from one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world, with approximately 3.5 million citizens. Its 2025 roster was extremely young, with most players still in their teens. In addition, The MongolZ had few resources and did not even have a sports psychologist. Still, with every odd stacked against them, the team defeated veteran orgs FaZe Clan and Furia to place second at the 2025 Austin Major, barely losing to Team Vitality. This made them the first Asian Counter-Strike team to reach a Major Grand Final. Just a few months later, they also won the 2025 Counter-Strike Esports World Cup. Here, they took revenge on Team Vitality and defeated Team Falcons, who built a super-team with NiKo and m0nesy specifically for the occasion.

The world took notice, and Senzu and mzinho were particular standouts from the roster. The duo’s move to BC Game will make them part of one of the super-teams they once conquered. In addition, they are now the team’s youngest members. Playing alongside veterans like s1mple, who has a decade-long career and has been quite literally nicknamed “The Undertaker,” is a serious accomplishment this early in their careers.

What Do mzinho and Senzu Mean for BC Game?

BC Game was careful to thank Senzu and mzinho’s Mongolian fans and welcome them to its community. This is relevant for several reasons. First, the MongolZ have an enthusiastic fan base, who excitedly showed up to support them in Austin and the EWC, so it just makes sense. Many NA Counter-Strike fans started rooting for them after FaZe’s Austin elimination.

Second, and more importantly, Senzu and mzinho carry weight as national celebrities, and The MongolZ’ identity as a Mongolian team is crucial to their story. Rival team Aurora Gaming, which is also aiming to build a stacked roster with big changes, drew some criticism from fans recently for shifting away from its core roster’s Turkish identity. BC Game now has an extremely international roster, but embracing its new duo’s Mongolian roots helps smooth the transition.

Only time will tell if BC Game’s stacked roster will be effective. Though its players have a fierce reputation behind them, they also need consistency and cohesiveness to succeed. That said, Senzu and mzinho’s playstyles already mesh, and it might be easier for them to continue together as a unit.
