The MongolZ proved they could hold their own against seasoned teams in 2025, placing in several S-tier events and taking the EWC 2025 trophy. The team’s players caught international attention, and the EMEA org BC.Game has just permanently added Senzu to its roster after a previous loan. Here’s everything to know about the signing and how it will affect Counter-Strike esports.

BC.Game Signs Senzu

On June 23 2026, EMEA Counter-Strike team BC.Game Esports made an announcement. After acquiring Senzu on loan, the team is now signing Senzu permanently to its roster. This means he will play alongside electroNic, taZ, krazy, and Counter-Strike legend s1mple.

Senzu has participated in several key international events and has played for the MongolZ since 2022 (with a brief gap from October 2022 to September 2023). He is well-known for winning the 2025 Esports World Cup and placing second in the 2025 BLAST.tv Austin Major. In addition, Senzu can play both Rifler and AWPer roles, making him a versatile player.

The MongolZ posted a parting message for Senzu on X.com, including a quote about goodbyes: “for Sayonara, literally translated ‘since it must be so’, of all the goodbyes I have heard is the most beautiful […] you must go, but you shall not go alone, unwatched.”

Senzu and The MongolZ’ History

The MongolZ have an extremely strong fanbase in their home country, and their strong performances in recent years were part of a sentimental underdog arc. The team just barely lost the 2025 Austin Major to Vitality. However, this loss was still impressive: the extremely young roster, which did not even have a sports psychologist, maintained a strong mental and managed to stand toe-to-toe against one of Counter-Strike’s most notoriously strong teams. In the same Major, The MongolZ beat out home turf favorites FaZe Clan and powerful competitor paiN Gaming. Later, in August, the MongolZ won the Esports World Cup, directly defeating Aurora Gaming and taking revenge on Vitality. Senzu was part of the roster for this historic feat. It was the team’s second-ever S-Tier trophy.

Senzu’s skills stood out at both events. Though the roster had some struggles against their more classically trained competitors, he demonstrated that he could hold his own with long-term pros. On February 2nd, the Ukrainian team Passion UA acquired him on loan. Senzu stayed here for two months before signing a different loan deal, this time with BC.Game. Senzu did not play for MongolZ in IEM Cologne or the Budapest Major. During this time, he maintained an inactive status on the MongolZ.

However, on a June 21 interview with an esports podcast, Senzu revealed he would not likely rejoin MongolZ anytime soon and will continue playing for international teams in the foreseeable future. On the same podcast, Senzu claimed he did not feel The MongolZ’ playstyle suited his skills. He said he was unable to play ‘freely’, and thus felt he could not create an impact in matches.

What Does This Mean for Counter-Strike Esports?

Senzu’s permanent buyout from The MongolZ is bittersweet for fans. He was a key part of the org’s climb and success against longer-standing teams. However, it may still represent an opportunity for him to bring Mongolian esports to a larger, worldwide stage while advancing his own career.

The MongolZ are still gunning for glory: they will compete in the BLAST Bounty Summer Qualifiers and the 2026 Esports World Cup. Meanwhile, BC.Game has recently competed at IEM Masters Kraków 2026 and Atlanta 2026. Viewers will likely see how Senzu meshes with his new roster soon. Counter-Strike viewership is reaching new heights after all the plot twists in 2026, and more are sure to come.
