BC Game is locking in by reshuffling its Counter-Strike roster. After several significant changes in 2026, the org has announced a contract with star Astralis player Magisk. Here’s everything we know.
On June 30, 2026, BC Game made an announcement on its official X.com account: the org has signed Emil “Magisk” Reif, one of Counter-Strike‘s most well-known players.
One of the greatest to ever touch the game. An unbroken Major streak, 4 Major titles… And now he’s here to captain us to our first Welcome to our new IGL, @MagiskCS

BC Game‘s X.com post called Magisk “one of the greatest to ever touch the game.” The team noted his Major wins, stating it was a reason they had signed him: “he’s here to captain us to our first.” An attached video included a montage of Magisk’s best moments, captioned “our IGL is here.”

Magisk will serve as BC Game’s In-Game Leader (IGL). He will play on a roster alongside several other extremely prominent Counter-Strike players: s1mple, Senzu, and electroNic.
Magisk was notably part of Astralis during its prime. He represented the team from 2018 to late 2021. Magisk has won 4 Majors, holds over 20 top-tier tournament titles, and has won an ESL Grand Slam. His career spans over a decade, as he started playing in 2015. Aside from his time on Astralis, Magisk has also played for OpTic Gaming and Team Vitality.
Astralis absolutely decimated opponents in the late 2010s, changing up the entire Counter-Strike meta (If you’ve ever heard of an ‘Astralis Stack’, you know what we mean). Astralis also leveled up team standards in competitive Counter-Strike and esports as a whole. Their rise occurred at a key transitional period when esports was creeping into the mainstream. Previously, most orgs leaned on raw individual skill and instinct. Astralis brought in sports psychologists and structured practice schedules, emphasizing discipline. Its core team, including other players like gla1ve, device, and dupreeh, became known for their top-tier mechanics. However, it was also clear that the whole unit could stay calm and execute complex strategies under pressure. Their dominance throughout CS:GO, including back-to-back Major wins, pushed other organizations to keep up.
Magisk’s move to BC Game will take him away from Astralis once again: he represented the team briefly for the past 3 months. Previously, he also played on Team Falcons for two years. Magisk was part of the org’s attempt to create a ‘super-team’, and was on the roster when they won PGL Bucharest (their first Counter-Strike 2 trophy) in 2025. However, he was benched after the org signed Team Spirit Academy player Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin to its main roster.
A new Chapter begins for me. Excited to get started on this project. Lot’s of work ahead of us. 🤩💚

What Does This Mean for Counter-Strike?
BC Game is a relatively young Counter-Strike team. The org, based in the United Arab Emirates and EMEA, was formed in June 2024. However, it’s been itching to ascend into Tier 1 competition and is making moves to rapidly climb the ranks.
In 2026, BC Game participated in IEM Atlanta and IEM Krakow. The team also started to seriously reshuffle its roster. Its main strategy is selecting high-level players who weren’t meshing with their previous teams, and thus weren’t reaching their highest potential. It’s a ‘Frankensteined’ team of sorts, bringing together strong individual parts to form a stacked whole.
In late 2025, BC Game grabbed legendary AWPer s1mple and former Virtus.pro player electroNic. Both have significant accolades, with s1mple having countless MVP awards. Senzu (from The MongolZ) was next. The team, which had an extremely young roster and no sports psychologist, just barely lost the 2025 Austin Major to Vitality. Their unexpected underdog performance brought worldwide attention. Senzu, who was a standout player during the event, noted in a June 21 interview that he felt unable to play ‘freely’ on the team and was unable to create the impact he wanted. Just two days later, BC Game announced they had signed him.
Magisk’s addition will continue BC Game’s pro collection, taking the team to the next level. It also fills a missing link in the team’s roles. ElectroNic is known as an entry, and s1mple and Senzu are both flexible as riflers and AWPers. As IGL and captain, Magisk can move individual players around like chess pieces and bring their playstyles together. The leadership could help unify the roster, which ranges widely in age and experience.
