In crash, a multiplier rises from 1.00x and stops at a random point. You cash out before it crashes to win your stake times the multiplier; if it crashes first, you lose. Rounds take seconds, and the crash point is fixed by a seed before the round starts.
How crash odds work
The probability of reaching a multiplier falls as the multiplier rises, and the edge is built in by occasional instant crashes at 1.00x. Whatever target you choose, the expected return is the same.

Strategy myths
Doubling after losses, waiting for a "low streak" to end, and predictor bots don't work. Auto cash-out controls variance, not the edge.
1. A short betting window opens; you place a stake and, optionally, an auto cash-out target.
2. The round starts and the multiplier climbs from 1.00x.
3. You cash out manually at any point, or the auto cash-out does it at your target.
4. The multiplier stops at a crash point fixed by the round's seed. Anyone still in loses their stake.
Some rounds crash instantly at 1.00x. Those instant crashes are where most of the house edge comes from.
Manual vs auto cash-out
Method
Strength
Weakness
Manual
Flexible, reacts to the moment
Hesitation and latency cost wins
Auto
Consistent, no reaction delay
Can't adapt mid-round
Both (auto as a safety net)
Exit early by hand, auto catches the rest
Requires discipline
Auto cash-out is the better default. Manual play invites "one more second" decisions, and those are where most crash losses come from.

Verifying a crash round
Crash sites publish a hashed chain of seeds before the rounds are played. After a round, the revealed seed lets you recompute the crash point. If the recomputed value matches what you saw, the site couldn't have changed it after bets were placed.
Crash and responsible play
Crash rounds take seconds, which makes it the fastest way to lose a balance on a skin site. Set a loss limit, a time limit and an auto cash-out before you start, and take a break after any big win or loss.
Crash maths in plain terms
If the game had no edge, the chance of reaching a multiplier m would be 1/m: 50% to reach 2x, 10% to reach 10x. Sites build their edge in by trimming those chances slightly, mostly through instant crashes.

Choosing a crash site
Published seed chain and a verifier you can use.
Auto cash-out with a target and a stop-loss.
Enough players that rounds start on time.
Withdrawals in crypto as well as skins.
CSGORoll has the busiest crash rounds; Howl.gg adds crash to a case site.
Crash and "predictors"
Apps and Discord bots selling crash predictions can't know the next crash point; it's fixed by cryptographic seeds before the round. They're scams, often designed to steal Steam or site logins.
Crash maths: cash-out targets
With a stated return of 96%, the chance of reaching a multiplier is roughly 0.96 divided by that multiplier.

The average cost per round is the same at every target; the target only changes how often you win and by how much.
Checking a crash round
Crash rounds on CS2 sites are typically provably fair: the site publishes a hashed seed before the round so you can verify the crash point afterwards. Verifying confirms the round was not altered. It does not change the house edge.
Pace and limits
Crash rounds take seconds. Set a stake and a maximum number of rounds before you start, and stop at the limit.
Questions
Is CS2 crash rigged?
On these sites the crash point is fixed by a seed before each round and can be verified after.
What is the best crash strategy?
There isn't one that changes the return. Auto cash-out only changes how wins and losses are spread.
Why do some crash rounds end at 1.00x?
Instant crashes are built into the game's maths and are where most of the house edge comes from.
Is auto cash-out better than manual?
For most players, yes: it removes hesitation and reaction delay.
What's the chance of reaching 2x in crash?
Just under 50%; the small shortfall from 50% is the house edge.
Is a lower auto cash-out safer in crash?
It wins more often but pays less; the average cost per round is the same.
