The VALORANT community has many popular tropes. The esports world imagines players with the VALORANT accent, duoing with a pocket Sage, and … listening to keshi. After years of connection, the meme has become a reality. and the musician has actually visited a VCT NA tournament. Here’s everything to know.

keshi’s Significance in VALORANT Culture

Casey “keshi” Luong is well-known as one of the VALORANT community’s favorite musicians. If you were to make a VALORANT Ranked player starter pack, his albums would definitely be in there right next to the white Monster Energy drinks, Comp Sci major, and black-and-white anime profile picture.

Hailing from Houston, Texas, the singer-songwriter is known for soulful, mellow tunes with an R&B influence. His 2022 debut album “GABRIEL” was a turning point in his career, earning critical praise for a sound that mixes hip-hop, R&B, and alternative genres. 2024’s “REQUIEM” was another success. He has over 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, many of them hardcore gamers.

Why do keshi’s songs resonate so much with VALORANT players? Well, keshi got his start on Soundcloud, so his fans tend to be very internet-savvy. His brand presentation is in tune with pop culture. His popularity began skyrocketing at around the same time VALORANT began going mainstream. In addition, the melancholy, soft vibe in keshi’s songs just meshes well with Jett main eboys.

“Soft Spot” is one of his most famous songs. “beside you” and “LIMBO” are other hits. They’re easy-listening, relaxing jams to headshot VALORANT enemies too.

keshi Plays VALORANT

In the past, keshi has stated that he enjoys playing VALORANT in his spare time and is a dedicated gamer. He has also been spotted playing the title with TenZ, one of its most famous pros.

keshi Visits VCT NA

On July 17, 2026, keshi surprised fans by attending a VCT NA tournament. The musician pulled up to the Riot Arena in Los Angeles, showing up in person to support his favorite teams.

In a new interview during his surprise appearance, keshi revealed that he and his friends take the game pretty seriously, saying, “We try, like, we try not to get too pressured about it, but I feel like the most fun happens when you care about the outcome, right?”

The musician also revealed his favorite VALORANT Agents. “When the game first came out, I played a lot of Cypher,” he said. However, when he plays with higher-rank friends, he says, “I’ll play Smokes, I’ll just kind of sit back.”

The interviewer also asked keshi if fans will see an official VALORANT collab anytime soon. He answered ambiguously: “Yet to see… yet to see.”

Pro player 100 Thieves Cryocells also snapped a picture with keshi, captioning it, “I play Cypher too, that’s crazy.” The post went viral, with nearly 200,000 views and over 4,000 likes.

What Does This Mean for VALORANT Esports?

After keshi’s tournament appearance, VALORANT fans are saying they want an official collab more than ever. The game has previously partnered with musicians to release event theme songs. The community is wondering if keshi could be next.

For example, the Champions 2021 theme was “Die for You” by Grabbitz. In 2024, the game also worked with Qing Madi to create a music video for the song “Ego.” It marked VALORANT’s 5-year anniversary. This was a huge success, as it surpassed 21 million views and included a cinematic that was important to VALORANT lore.

Netizens want keshi to feature in an official tournament theme: user @gaming_uni106 wrote, “2 worlds colliding fr … we need a keshi VALORANT anthem next.” @notbysammi said they arfe in the “keshi valorant collab waiting room.”
