VALORANT Champions 2026 is coming up, and we’ll be seeing four teams from the VCT China region in Shanghai. TYLOO has taken the tournament’s first place trophy, and JD Gaming lands in second place. Both have qualified for Champs, and could meet again soon. Let’s recap.

Tyloo Defeats JD Gaming, Wins VCT China Stage 2

On August 23, 2026, TYLOO took down JD Gaming in the VCT China Stage 2 Grand Finals. This win nets the team a 100,000 USD prize, plus a coveted slot in VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026. It also concludes the 2026 VCT CN regular season, setting the region’s standings in stone until next year.

Rosters:

TYLOO

  • slowly
  • Erv
  • SiuFatBB
  • splash
  • Scales

JD Gaming

  • zhe
  • Yuicaw
  • BerLIN
  • crownfisher
  • jkuro

The teams’ first matchup on Lotus went to JD Gaming, before TYLOO ultimately took the crown after a three-game reverse sweep. The final score was 1-3 in TYLOO’s favor.

The Games

The first matchup, on Lotus, was JDG’s pick. The team was clearly comfortable, coasting to a 13-6 win. jkuro carried on Raze, but much has to be said as well for zhe and Yuicaw, who popped off on the team’s double-Sentinel comp. JDG lucked out by starting on Defender side, and their Sentinel emphasis helped them snowball to a lead by offsetting Lotus’ attacker-sided nature.

TYLOO’s pick, Split, flipped the script to the team’s first 13-7 victory. Scales was a player to watch here, and was extremely comfortable on Viper. TYLOO’s Duelists outperformed JDG’s here, which helped tip the scales – zhe was unfortunately struggling on Neon, while splash’s Raze impressed. After a relatively even first half, TYLOO stormed to victory as soon as it shifted to Attacker, only granting JDG a single retake.

Map 3, Breeze, was closer. However, TYLOO still beat JDG on their own pick, ending with a 13-10 score. Initiators SiuFatBB and Scales stormed through JDG’s smokes with help from the team’s entries, making it hard for Yuicaw and crownfisher to maintain map control. Meanwhile, Slowly proved Duelists aren’t the only fraggers with a menacing 20/12 K/D.

By Map 4, Summit, JDG’s performance was in clear decline. TYLOO made an example out of them, finishing 13-2. slowly’s Waylay was a force to be reckoned with, and TYLOO once again exhibited their confidence on the attack. The org’s pushes absolutely obliterated JDG’s defenses. jkuro was left with a 2/14 K/D on Raze, with crownfisher also struggling.

What’s Next for TYLOO?

TYLOO is one of four VCT CN qualified teams in VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026. JD Gaming, EDward Gaming, and XLG Esports have also qualified. (For a full up-to-date list of teams and rosters, check out our full guide here).

The tournament will begin on September 24, 2026, with a Group Stage where teams divide into smaller clusters and compete. Next, they’ll enter the Playoffs, which is an eight-team double-elimination setup. As there are sixteen teams total in the main event, half will face elimination before this point.

TYLOO has never reached a Riot Games-partnered international VCT event before, so Champions 2026 will be its first time on the worldwide stage. It’ll face some intense competition from other regions: for example, Paper Rex is an APAC top performer.

The qualification ultimately elevates TYLOO’s reputation as a partnered franchise, also making it more prominent in the overall scene.
