A new era is starting in VALORANT: LOUD has just become the first team to win two Champions trophies as big open qualifier changes loom ahead. The LOUD vs Team Vitality Champions 2026 Grand Final brought opposite teams together in the year’s most important tournament. There were plenty of memorable moments. Who’s on the rosters, why did LOUD pull ahead, and what does this mean for VALORANT esports? Let’s recap.

LOUD Just Won VALORANT Champions 2026

On October 18, 2026, LOUD made VALORANT history. The Brazilian org faced off against EMEA’s Team Vitality for the Champions Shanghai trophy.

This Grand Final was a key rematch. LOUD and Vitality had emerged as key competitors in the Group Stage, fighting for the top spot in Group B. Here, Vitality dealt LOUD a 2-0 defeat. The two teams swept through the Playoffs, dominating the upper bracket and beating out analyst favorites. G2 Esports, reigning champs NRG, and top pick Paper Rex were among them.

LOUD and Vitality finally met again at the Upper Bracket Finals. We saw LOUD return with renewed strength: this time, they flipped the script and sent Vitality to the lower run with a 2-1 finish. Vitality wasn’t done just yet, though. The org clawed their way back up to the Grand Final, ready to settle the score once and for all.

Vitality is known for its calculated confidence and discipline. Meanwhile, LOUD thrives when they set their top frag up for success and go for risky, aggressive plays.

LOUD’s Duelists came in swinging today, but the entire team also brought the frags to match. tkzin’s Neon dropped nearly 80 kills total over the tournament. erde was another star of the show. His battle sage impressed, and he was equally confident on Omen. He earned MVP honors for his plays.

  • Map 1 (Summit): 13-11 LOUD win
  • Map 2 (Lotus): 8-13, Vitality win
  • Map 3 (Sunset): 13-5, LOUD win
  • Map 4 (Haven): 13-10, LOUD win

LOUD started Map 1, their Summit pick, tentatively strong with a close 13-11 win. They 9-3 cursed Vitality after scoring only a few rounds on Attacker. Vitality briefly pulled ahead on Lotus, once again thwarting LOUD’s pushes. Derke’s Raze was the deciding factor here.

In Sunset, though, LOUD was once again on their own pick, and they were feeling confident. Starting out on Defender, they enjoyed an experience that played to their strengths and snowballed their performance into a flawless Attacker side. tkzin went 26/10 here, a fearsome opponent running the map.

Haven was the decider for all the marbles. LOUD and Vitality ended the first half neck-and-neck, and the matchup was extremely close. However, LOUD had solved its previous Attacker side struggles, securing the win with several key clutches. They were in their element, seeking out first picks and setting the tempo.

LOUD is the First VALORANT Team to Win Two Champions Trophies

In 2022, LOUD became the second team to win VALORANT Champions. Back then, the org had pANcada, Sacy, Saadhak, aspas, and Less on its roster.

Now, four years later, the team has an entirely different lineup. However, it has repeated the feat. LOUD is now the first and only team in VCT history to win two Champions events. Notably, LOUD’s new squad is also one of the youngest ever to take first place at Champs.

The org’s victory brings VALORANT into a new era. It closes off the VCT’s franchised era, as 2027 will shift from partnered teams to prioritize an Open Qualifier system with Cups. For more information on these upcoming changes, check out our explainer article here.

LOUD’s trophy also solidifies Brazil’s influence in FPS esports. Teams like FURIA, Legacy, MIBR, and PaiN have already made their mark in CS2. In recent years, MIBR has expanded its presence in VALORANT. LOUD has also played a key role in the VCT from the beginning, distinctly marking the region as a competitor to look out for.
