The VCT season isn’t over yet: the Game Changers Championship 2026 is kicking off, and esports enthusiasts can expect intense gameplay on the horizon. This year, VALORANT players can get involved with Pick ‘Ems and Twitch drops, too. Here’s a recap of everything fans should know, including the tournament’s prize pool, location, format, schedule, and streams.
VALORANT’s Game Changers Championship brings women and gender-nonconforming esports players to the spotlight with an international competition. Here, fans can watch rosters from their favorite VCT partnered orgs as they compete for a share of the 500,000 USD prize pool and the GCC trophy.
This year, Team Liquid GC is entering as the reigning champs. However, they have competition: Shopify Rebellion is looking to claim a third title, and G2 Gozen still holds the tournament’s first trophy.
GCC 2026 is taking place in sunny São Paulo, Brazil. It’s the country’s largest city, and one of the most populous in the Americas. São Paulo is right near Brazil’s eastern coastline, combining skyscraper scrawl with seaside relaxation.
The tournament itself is occurring in the Riot Games Arena. Earlier in 2026, League of Legends players watched First Stand here.
The Game Changers Championship has a double-elimination bracket. First, all teams start in the Upper Bracket. The losers fall to a Lower Bracket, where they have to claw their way back up for a rematch. This means all teams have to lose two games to be eliminated. The Grand Final will pit the Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket winners against each other.
All matchups are best-of-3, except the Grand Final, which is a best-of-5.
There is a 500 million USD total prize pool on the line. Out of this sum, the Grand Final winner earns 180,000 USD. Additional prizes stagger depending on team placements:
Now, let’s get into the competition’s schedule. The GCC 2026 lasts two weeks.
The GCC 2026 starts on Thursday, October 22.
The Grand Final takes place on Sunday, November 1. This is also when the GCC 2026 ends, and the winning team recieves its trophy.
This year’s GCC features ten teams in total. They all qualify from different regional slots. Here’s a list of all Game Changers Championships 2026 teams and players:
