Hush: The New Valorant Agent. Release Date, Abilities, and Lore

Hush, a Duelist, is VALORANT’s newest Agent. She has abilities that let her use telekinesis, pick up the Spike and weapons from a distance, and lift enemies in the air. Riot revealed her at Champions 2026 Shanghai. Image Credits: Riot Games

Riot Games has confirmed a new VALORANT Duelist. Her name is Hush, and she hails from Guangdong, China. She uses telekinesis to move objects, pull enemies, and lift whole teams into the air.

Here is everything we know: let’s explore Hush’s lore, role, abilities, release date, and effects on the meta.

Who is Hush? New VALORANT Agent

The new VALORANT agent is here. After a month of teasers, we’ve finally seen her full kit, lore, and design. After Champions Shanghai, Riot revealed a full Agent Trailer, titled “Rise and Fall.”

In the cinematic, we see that Hush is a skilled fighter. She is from Guangdong, China. This is fitting given the Champions 2026 location, and it makes her the third Chinese Agent after Sage and Iso.

Hush walks through a rainy atmosphere. She enters a sketchy restaurant at the end of an alley. We see a showcase of her abilities when she steals a Ghost pistol and moves objects in the venue around with her mind.

It seems like Hush has a close relationship with her mother, who may have taught her these skills. She calls her during the scuffle and remembers her advice.

Hush has long, pastel pink hair and a sleek black outfit. She has pink, white, purple, and black colors in her aesthetic.

When Did Riot Reveal Hush?

Riot revealed her on October 18, 2026, at the Valorant Champions grand final in Shanghai. Hush was a key feature of the event, as the team had built up to her release with themed activities and merch drops.

What Role is Hush in VALORANT?

Hush is a Duelist, meaning she plays aggressively. Her main job is to take fights and take space. Hush’s utility lets her put pressure on opponents, take unexpected angles, and increase her odds in battle.

Hush is VALORANT’s 30th Agent. She is the 9th Duelist, giving the role more options.

All VALORANT Hush Agent Abilities

Hush’s kit has five parts. Costs and exact numbers will emerge closer to launch:

  • Telekinesis (Passive): Hush can pick up weapons and the Spike from a distance. She can also use switches from range. The cooldown is about 30 seconds. The range is about 25 to 30 meters.
  • Flow (C): Hush drops an anchor right away. After a short delay, she dashes to it. If she is in the air when it triggers, she hovers for a moment.
  • Flashbulb (Q): A flash grenade. You can throw it right away. You can also prep it and fire it toward your crosshair. It blinds players when it explodes.
  • Displacement (E, Signature): A grenade thrown the same way as Flashbulb. It pulls players toward its center. Anyone who slams into a wall or another player gets concussed. It refreshes after every two kills.
  • Suspension (X, Ultimate): Hush sends out an orb and steers it with her crosshair, like a drone. She can set it off to lift every player in the area into the air.

How Will Hush Affect the Meta?

VALORANT’s meta has constantly rubberbanded back and forth between ability use and gunplay. When Riot introduced Breeze, Corrode, and Abyss, we saw long-range angles dominate for a time. Players locked in the Vandal and focused on their aim, while ability use and sheer push power dropped. Then, this year, something changed. VALORANT is returning to its utility-heavy phase, with aggressive agents like Neon, Yoru, Waylay, and Chamber thriving.

Hush will probably continue this trend of fast-paced play and VALORANT leaning into its ability use. Her kit makes her extremely mobile: she can dash onto site, easily grab the spike, and quickly rotate. Plus, she takes duels by overwhelming the opponent with flashes and concusses, making her stand out from aim-based Duelists like Jett and Reyna.

Why Hush is Good in VALORANT

  • Hush’s ability to pick up weapons from a distance will make her strong on Eco rounds.
  • Hush is a fantastic entry duelist, since her util is designed to pull enemies out from cover and eliminate rat angles.
  • She can rotate easily and clutch sticky situations since she can grab the spike from afar.
  • Her Ultimate will make outnumbered teamfights easier.
  • Hush can quickly clear sites.

VALORANT Hush Release Date

Hush arrives on October 27, 2026. She comes with Act 6 and Patch 13.09. Due to timezone differences, she may arrive a day later (on October 28) in some regions.

How to Unlock Hush in VALORANT

Since Hush is the newest VALORANT Agent, she won’t be pre-added to your game. Players will have to unlock her instead. There are two ways you can do this:

  • Option 1: Buy the Agent. Hush costs 10,000 Kingdom Credits or 1,000 RP (10 USD) to unlock. You can get Kingdom Credits for free, but you’ll have to pay otherwise.
  • Option 2: Unlock Hush during her recruitment event. You’ll have to earn 200,000 XP. This is a limited-time offer.
