Karmine Corp Qualifies to its First VALORANT Champions

Karmine Corp has just qualified to Champions 2026 through a VCT EMEA Finals placement. Let’s recap the situation and what it means for VALORANT esports.

Karmine Corp Qualified to Champions 2026

On August 28, 2026, French VALORANT org Karmine Corp faced off against FUT Esports in the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Semifinals. After sweeping FUT, KC has earned a Grand Finals placement and, more importantly, a slot in VALORANT Champions 2026.

After four seasons of VCT-level play, this means Champions Shanghai will be the org’s first Champions event.

KC caught the scene’s notice after scoring a top placement in the Stage 2 Group Omega lineup. This meant they qualified directly to the Playoffs Upper Bracket. Here, they met Enterprise Esports, a VCL team that ultimately fell after a 2-1 series. KC’s win against FUT was smoother, with a 2-0 final score.

KC and FUT battled it out on Lotus and Haven. KC N4RRATE was a force to be reckoned with on both maps, consistently diffing opponents in fights. The team dominated Lotus on Attacker, only letting FUT get two rounds in. Their defender side was weaker, letting FUT score another four rounds, but the comeback was quickly put to a halt with some smooth retakes. LewN (on Neon) was another name to watch, with confident plays that impressed viewers. Ultimately, Lotus was a clean 13-6.

FUT’s pick, Haven, was slightly closer with a 13-8 final scoreline. s0pp made a valiant effort on Jett. yetujey got some important frags as well, but ultimately, N4RRATE and LewN’s util-heavy Phoenix and Neon double duelist lineup overwhelmed their adversaries.

What Does This Mean for the Team?

KC’s tournament appearance isn’t done just yet. They still have to participate in the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Grand Finals on August 30, 2026. Either Team Liquid or FUT will meet them there.

Karmine Corp has been active in the VALORANT scene for four years, originally introducing a roster in 2022. Since then, a lot has changed. The team’s lineup fully shifted after its first VCT season, bringing in SUYGETSU from NaVi in 2024. More changes arrived this year in 2026, with dos9 and LewN both joining in January.

Marshall “N4RRATE” Massey is the most recent addition, and he’s proven himself as the ‘secret sauce’ that helps Karmine Corp excel. Many KC fans see N4RRATE’s March 2026 return to the org as long overdue: he represented the team briefly from 2023-2024, before joining Sentinels for several years. The Sentinel and Duelist flex brings a wide agent pool to his teammates, and has been consistently fragging out in impressive plays.

Karmine Corps’ first Champions qualification will place them up against teams from around the world. Though the org has exhibited strong regional performances, their inter-region plays have been shaky in the past. They’ll have to bring their think outside of the EMEA box and explore new strategies to succeed.
