VALORANT IGL Boo Officially Leaves Team Heretics

Team Heretics is making more roster changes before VCT 2027, and IGL Boo is now leaving the lineup. Here’s everything to know about the transfer.

Boo Announces Team Heretics VALORANT Departure

Ričardas “Boo” Lukaševičius is a familiar face to VCT viewers. For nearly four years, the Lithuanian VALORANT pro has represented Team Heretics in EMEA and on the global stage as its IGL.

Boo originally announced on September 3 that Heretics had “allowed me to explore my options […] I am open for offers for the next season, looking to lead in game and outside the game and doing whatever it takes to win.” He clarified, though, that he was still under contract. Several weeks later, Boo has now officially announced his departure from the team.

TH shared a video montage of the roster’s best moments, saying “Thank you for everything.” Boo shared games and clips with benjyfishy, RieNs, Wo0t, koshmaras, MiniBoo, paTiTek, and other big names.

“It has been an unforgettable experience,” Boo said. “I am grateful for every player and staff I had the chance to work with. And I am most grateful for the fans that supported us since the beginning and built Heretics valorant to what it is today.”

What Does This Mean for Team Heretics?

In 2025, Team Heretics caught international attention for its Esports World Cup win. The team beat FNATIC, then a powerhouse at its peak, in a cinematic 3-2 reverse sweep after losing the first two games 13-4 and 13-1. The roster’s showing skyrocketed their VCT recognition, and they quickly shifted higher in VALORANT’s power rankings. The team later qualified to VALORANT Champions 2025, placing 5th-6th. They faced elimination from Paper Rex, which defeated them 2-1.

Besides their stats, Team Heretics captured fans for its storylines. The ‘trash talk curse’, where TH players would playfully banter with other teams before facing them, made plenty of memorable moments. There was also the added intrigue of benjyfishy being one of the first VALORANT pros to transfer to the game directly from Fortnite esports, creating a unique cast of characters.

In 2026, however, TH hasn’t seen the same success. The org qualified to Masters London and won VCT EMEA Stage 1, but it has not progressed to Champions Shanghai. The team has gone through several roster changes that replaced key players, with koshmaras and ComeBack both cycling through MiniBoo’s former spot. Now, Boo will follow, shifting the Team Heretics lineup further into new territory.

Heretics will need to grab two new players to complete its lineup (most likely a Controller and Duelist/Flex.) The org maintains three core personalities, but will need to streamline its comp before the 2027 season.
