FURIA VALORANT Swaps eeiu for C0M

As VCT Americas Stage 2 progresses, FURIA has benched core VALORANT roster member eeiu and will sign C0M instead. Here’s everything to know about the move.

FURIA Releases eeiu, Signs C0M

On July 19, 2026, Brazilian esports org FURIA announced it would officially bench Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic from its main VALORANT roster. In his place, Initiator player Corbin “C0M” Lee will join the team.

In a statement on X.com, FURIA wrote:

“The player eeiu leaves the team’s active lineup. We thank Dan for all his time, dedication, and hard work representing FURIA throughout this journey, and we wish him continued success in his career.

In his place, C0M joins the team. This move is part of an adjustment to the project’s competitive direction for the rest of the season.”

C0M replied to this post with a quick caption, simply saying “Joined FURIA.” eeiu has not yet commented.

Community Reactions

FURIA’s fanbase, and the VALORANT Americas community at large, is split on the decision. Many netizens are criticizing how FURIA handled eeiu’s departure. Some are also arguing that eeiu played a significant role in the team’s stronger moments so far, wondering if releasing him is really the right move.

Typically, teams announce a player’s release and signing by creating and posting a new graphic of them in the org’s jersey. Users noticed FURIA had simply used the team’s logo to accompany its announcement. Netizen @Holistical27 wrote about the situation,

“Lmao the guy who worked the hardest and had the most impact on all of your games gets a photo of the logo when his leave is being announced. This is just disrespectful and lazy from furia for both eeiu and c0m.”

@flickamag said it was an “actual mistake to have bought [FURIA’s] bundle, the og roster gave you so much and you replaced 3 people at the first sign where you should’ve let them build.” The user ended their statement by saying they “hope for [FURIA’s] downfall.”

@AcesGaming12 offered a more nuanced take. They wrote, “I love c0m but come on, doing Eeiu like this is wild.“

@FabrOtomano emphasized that FURIA’s moves did not affect whether he would root for C0M: “Good luck, brother. The context you entered may not be the best, but you’ll have the support of the Brazilian fans.“

What Does This Mean for VALORANT Esports?

eeiu has played on FURIA since December 2025. Previously, he was part of 100 Thieves for two years. Meanwhile, C0M has represented Evil Geniuses and Leviatán since 2022. Notably, C0M was part of Evil Geniuses’ 2023 Champions winning lineup.

When eeiu moved to FURIA, the organization had completely revamped its entire roster. The team has built chemistry while progressing through the 2026 VCT Americas season. The roster seemed to have a strong start when FURIA won the Americas kickoff in February. However, its performance declined after Masters Santiago 2026, where it placed 7/8th. FURIA saw the same results in Americas Stage 1 and the Esports World Cup qualifier, and did not secure a slot in Masters London.

VCT Americas Stage 2 is currently ongoing (check out our guide to Stage 2 here), and time is running out to make important roster restructures. FURIA is probably shuffling things around to improve its odds as the season draws to a close, especially since the team lost its first Group Stage matchup against rival Leviatán.

The team’s VCT Americas Stage 2 performance will determine whether it secures a slot at VALORANT Champions 2026. This is VALORANT’s most important event, and a chance to stake a permanent claim in the game’s history.
