After several teasers, Riot Games is bringing the Vendetta Riftbound Set to the public. The set includes fan-favorite characters like Akali and Kennen, and it adds mechanics that fundamentally change the TCG. Here’s everything we know about Riftbound Vendetta’s Champions, new mechanics, pre-order, and release plans.
On July 5, 2026, Riot Games released a trailer video for its next trading card set, the Vendetta Riftbound Expansion. On X.com, the studio called Vendetta “the next chapter” in the TCG’s storyline. The set is Riftbound’s fourth expansion following its successful October 2025 launch.

Riftbound’s video included several fan-favorite League of Legends Champions, appearing as new cards. The community noticed assassin Akali and top-laner Kennen, who had brand-new art for the set.
Riftbound’s Vendetta set is unique. The set adds several new Champions, appealing to casual players and collectors. It also opens pathways to new competitive mechanics, combining form and function.

Like every Riftbound release, there are three main formats: Booster Packs, Booster Boxes, and Champion Decks. Booster Packs include a small amount of randomized cards. Booster Boxes contain multiple Booster Packs, and Champion Decks include pre-made card sets ready for competitive play (so instead of random pulls, you know exactly what you’re getting.)
Riftbound’s Vendetta expansion reportedly includes:
Riftbound Vendetta’s Pre-Order spans from July 6, 2026 to July 8, 2026. However, the set’s official release date is reportedly July 27, 2026. To celebrate the pack, Riot Games is revealing new cards in the Card Gallery throughout the week. For more information, check the studio’s official announcement here.

Riftbound Vendetta’s Burn, Flow, and Empower options fundamentally change what players can do during matches. They also mirror some League of Legends gameplay experiences.
Burn forces players to put the top few cards in their deck in the trash pile. How many they have to move depends on the burn’s severity. Players can also use Flow to play cards from their Trash pile. Cards have variable Flow costs and are banished afterwards. Finally, participants can opt to Empower their other cards for a cost. Empowered cards gain additional effects.
The countdown is on. Registration for the Vendetta Drawing opens July 6 at 9AM PST. #RBVendetta

Originally, Riftbound Vendetta will be available through pre-order. Players can enter a random drawing to purchase products via the Riot Games website. Registration opens on July 6, 2026 at 9 AM PST and lasts until July 8. According to official Riot Games publications, emails will likely be sent to participants on July 13, informing them whether they’ve been selected.
After the pre-order phase closes, Riftbound Vendetta will also arrive in partnered TCG stores’ stock. That said, Riftbound tends to sell out quickly, and it can be difficult to find in some locations.
Riftbound Vendetta arrives shortly after Riot Games’ T1 Worlds 2025 Riftbound set announcement. The studio is heavily investing in the TCG sphere, linking it to tabletop gamers and esports fans alike. Stay tuned for more League of Legends news.
