Riftbound has been on the rise, and it’s looking like the T1 Worlds 2025 Signature Edition set will be the game’s most popular yet. As the drawings grow more intense, team members have revealed that ‘over 60%’ of entries were bots, and they’re cancelling orders in a major crackdown. Here’s everything to know.
T1 is one of the most popular organizations in the esports world as a whole, but especially in League of Legends. Its roster, currently consisting of Doran, Oner, Peyz, Keria, and star player Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-Hyeok, consistently draws views and fan engagement across the board. The team has won the last three World Championships, and it’s looking to continue that streak this year if it can pull off another strong LCK performance. It holds the record for most Worlds trophies by a single team, and Faker was the inauguaral inductee in Riot Games’ Hall of Legends in 2024.

Riot gained fan attention in July after it revealed another T1 collaboration: an exclusive Riftbound trading card set. The TCG has a growing fanbase and a sizable tournament scene, so there’s some draw for genuine players. However, the market also expands to general esports fans and gamers, who want to collect memorabilia of their favorite team.
The T1 Riftbound cards have one new Champion version for each player on the team’s roster. Notably, it also includes Gumayusi, who has since moved to Hanwha Life Esports. They’re available on the Riot Games merch store.
The Riftbound T1 Signature Edition bundle, an elevated version of the normal cards, arrives in a collector’s case and a protective display plaque. Its packaging sports T1‘s bright red and gold colors, and each card has an emblazoned signature from its player. It will also set fans back quite a bit: the total cost is upwards of 360 USD, varying in other regions.
Collectors can only obtain the set through a randomized drawing, which has been ongoing since August 14. The community is engaging in full force to the point that even creators like LS are appearing in posts and asking for trades/secondhand buys.
With every limited-edition merch drop, scalpers emerge from their crusty caves to snatch releases up and resell them. The official Riftbound account claimed there is an unprecedented amount of bot activity and suspicious accounts trying to buy the T1 Signature Edition set.
In fact, scalpers are already reselling the orders on eBay, with some of them going for over 10,000 USD.
That said, Riot is cracking down on the attempts so die-hard fans can access the cards. Before the team started the drawing, they issued a warning:
“We have security measures in place to identify bots and suspicious registrations. Flagged entries are reviewed before being included in the drawing.”
On August 19, 2026, Riftbound’s Editor-In-Chief @TrickJarret revealed that “the security filters and review process removed more than 60% of the entries in the T1 Signature Edition drawing. Even with that, it will be the largest drawing Riftbound has held by a dramatic margin.”
Riftbound brought further information to light on August 21, when it revealed that the team has also investigated viral social media posts showing the cards. “They’ve been reviewing the full pool of entries and accounts that were selected in today’s drawing. In doing so, they identified additional suspicious/bot accounts both among those selected, and the pool as a whole.”
As part of the crackdown, Riftbound revealed it would cancel all detected bot orders. “For the suspicious accounts that were selected, their orders will be voided and those T1 Signature Editions will be returned to the pool for another round of the drawing tomorrow. They are also removing the suspicious accounts which were not selected for today from the drawing pool for tomorrow morning.”
The team continued:
“Ensuring fairness and combating bad actors is an ongoing process. Scalpers continually adapt their tactics against the countermeasures we put in place.
At the same time, we are being thoughtful about how aggressively we apply security measures so legitimate players aren’t mistakenly removed as part of the process. We are committed to continuing to refine and improve our security systems to protect these drawings for players.”
All of that said, the studio still cautions: “availability remains very limited.“
