This year’s Worlds 2026 Anthem music video is absolutely filled with easter eggs. ‘Know My Name’ references memes, Faker’s cinematic quotes, industry casters, and key moments from over a decade of Worlds appearances. Let’s explore each surprise.
Riot just released the Worlds 2026 Anthem. Titled ‘Know My Name,’ it’s a gritty rock and hip-hop-inspired tune from True Damage. This marks the virtual band’s comeback, with Coco Jones, Sofía Reyes, SOYEON of i-dle, and Vic Mensa representing its members. Akali, Ekko, Senna, Qiyana, and Yasuo are the members.
The video stars Faker, League of Legends’ most well-known athlete and one of the most famous esports pros of all time. It chronicles a decade of his journey on T1, spanning from Worlds 2013 to now.

Riot kicks things off with easter eggs right from the start. In the opening MV shot, you can see that the city is actually set up like the League of Legends Summoner’s Rift map. There are obvious lanes, plus the red nexus and blue nexus.

The MV follows up with the Worlds 2017 Finals. Here, we see Faker crying on stage. This happened in real life, after T1 (then SK Telecom T1) lost to Samsung Galaxy. It was a moment highlighting the stakes of esports.

T1 has cycled through several rosters, with Faker remaining the core. In 2017, Wolf, Bang, Peanut, and Huni were Faker’s teammates. We see them in the ‘Know My Name’ MV, where they take prominent roles. You can also see a little Peanut icon later in the video, marking Peanut’s final Worlds.

In real life, T1’s base camp is located in Seoul, South Korea. The actual building features in the Worlds 2026 Anthem video. You can see it in the bottom right corner of the city after the Worlds 2017 scene.
Throughout the video, you’ll see real matchups from League esports history. These are just a few that are easy to spot:

Aside from his esports career, Faker is a bit of a meme legend. We’ve all seen the edited videos of him mulltitasking while playing, quickly switching between League and a thousand other tabs. Riot made some references to two of his most iconic meme moments in the Worlds 2026 MV.
First, we see ‘Front Roll.’ This references the time Faker randomly did a somersault while walking out on stage in the 2015 Worlds finals. This silly and goofy moment was supposed to imitate Vayne, who does indeed tumble forward.
Next, there’s a little broccoli billboard. In this instance, a fan told Faker his haircut in 2015 looked like broccoli. Faker then promised to eat a piece of broccoli live on stage if he won Worlds. Faker is a man of his word: yes, he did end up eating the broccoli.
As Faker walks alone into the next era of his career, there’s a wall of graffiti behind him. Some of these spray paintings have the logos of Worlds winners. See if you can spot:
There’s also the EDG logo on a skyscraper at the top right of the screen, for the LPL fans!

In the hallway Faker walks through, there are photos of T1’s previous winning rosters. They are a throwback to the org’s early days.

Keria, Zeus, Oner, and Gumayusi play a starring role in the MV. As Faker’s most famous teammates, they show up in plenty of scenes. Gumayusi’s dog, Doongi, also makes an adorable appearance as one of the Worlds 2026 Anthem easter eggs. He rides in the elevator with the crew.
The subway doors have ‘Mind the Gap’ on them, which is pretty apt but also a reference to Jatt and Vedius’ League esports podcast of the same name.

On the subway, T1 fights RNG. They lose, regroup, and rematch. Then they prepare for the Worlds finals against DRX. You can see eggs in the ramen bowl during this scene; Gumayusi famously used this as a metaphor for ADCs. There’s also a can of Red Bull, and the chairs are by Secret Lab.
A big fight scene occurs where Faker and Zeus battle Kingen and Zeka for the Elder Dragon, but end up defeated. We see Keria crying here while Faker comforts him, which also occured in real life. The DRX logo rises in the background.

JDG entered Worlds 2023 aiming to complete the Golden Road, collecting every major esports title. However, T1 was not in the best spot, experiencing a significant loss streak. That’s why we see ‘Chasing the Golden Road’ on the left-side billboard, while the other banner says ‘Can T1 Break the Curse?’
The skyscrapers here tell the rest of the story. The LNG, JDG, and WBG logos are on the leftmost building. Caster Jun’s reaction to T1’s Worlds 2023 win is center left. On the right side, you can see ‘T1 Still Standing’ and ‘Golden Road’ signs. T1 ultimately stopped JDG from completing their Golden Road quest, eliminating them in the Worlds semis.
After the team wins Worlds 2023, Faker and Gumayusi dap each other up. This was inspired by their post-game pose in real life.

Throughout the Worlds 2023 scenes, you can see plenty of iconic quotes. First, one of Faker’s is centered. ‘The one standing at the end has always been me.’ As T1 fights WBG, a skyscraper in the top left says ‘They Like Those Odds.’ This is a famous quote from Drakos. In the next scene, Zeus’ ‘OkeOke’ comm is in the same spot. Then, Faker’s ‘the fourth title is for my team’ is in the background.

T1 fans do not play about their favorite team. The die-hard supporters are out there doing good deeds to ensure the org’s spiritual status is intact. It’s common for stans to post online about extra good deeds (for example, ‘today I picked up trash’) they did to ensure T1 has good karma. Riot playfully nods to this meme with a billboard.
This first scene pays homage to Faker’s Galio ultimate, which turned around a major teamfight in with BLG. A banner saying ‘GOOOOD’ references Gumayusi’s reaction to eating a really delicious croissant (real, tbh).
Zeus also says goodbye to Faker here, opening the door for a new toplaner.
Eefje ‘sjokz’ Depoortere is one of the most famous League of Legends casters of all time. She has casted and interviewed at Worlds and other events for over a decade, becoming one of the most well-known voices in League esports. Riot included sjokz in the music video. She’s watching Worlds 2024 near the end.
Depoortere revealed on social media that Riot personally reached out to her and said she was “super super honored.” There’s also speculation that the characters next to her are T1’s coaching staff.
Doran arrives on the scene with his famous Gragas pick. The T1 squad battle with Deokdam, Bdd and several other pros. In Faker’s ice blast, text flashes with another quote: ‘If you want it, then earn it from me.’
Of course, the MV ends with Faker’s signature ‘Shhhh’ pose.
