Riot Games has released more information about the LEC 2026 Summer Finals, and ticket sales are beginning. Here’s everything to know about the event, its schedule, and how fans can attend.
The LEC Summer Finals are a key part of the League of Legends year. This event, which arrives after the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), determines which EMEA teams will represent the region at Worlds. The top three teams qualify, so it directly factors into the most important event of the entire competitive circuit.
The Summer Finals shape the broader narrative: a strong performance here can boost a team’s reputation heading into international play, helping identify which orgs to watch in the upcoming year. That said, the LEC also has its own storylines, rivalries, and roster changes, all coming together in one high-stakes weekend. The event draws huge viewership numbers. It also boosts European League of Legends’ presence on the world stage, which is key since Pacific and China teams tend to dominate the MOBA.
On July 8, 2026, Riot Games officially revealed the LEC 2026 Summer Finals’ location. The event will take place in Nice, France. The city is in the country’s southern region next to the sparkling French Riviera. Visitors can experience the coastline and Mediterranean weather. It has plenty of art museums, beaches, and shopping opportunities.

The Palais Nikaia is the venue. It’s an indoor concert hall with a vast interior, so it should be safe from the worldwide heatwave.
The LEC Summer Finals are part of the general LEC Summer Split. It starts with a Regular Season portion, where teams compete to determine standings. It’s similar to a Swiss Stage, but on a larger scale. Next, the top 6 Regular Season teams continue to the Playoffs. The Playoffs are a double-bracket experience, so even if a team loses once, they can climb back up from the lower bracket. All matches are Best-of-5. They will use Fearless Draft, which makes teams consider a wider Champion pool and generally offers a more interesting viewing experience.
The LEC Summer Split overall begins on Friday, July 24 and stretches until Sunday, September 20. It’s over a month long. Here’s a recap of the individual stages’ schedules:
