CBLOL Player Suspended By Riot

On July 29, 2026, prestigious South American League of Legends tournament CBLOL announced that competitive authorities had issued a significant punishment. FURIA player Pedro “Tatu” Seixas would be suspended from an upcoming match for allegedly participating in external communication during Champion selection.

An official communication stated: “[Tatu] violated the competition’s rules and Riot Games’ Global Esports Code of Conduct by establishing, during Champion Select, external communication with someone outside the stage before the match against LOS, which constitutes undue advantage.”

Essentially, the tourney alleges Tatu asked or communicated with an external source to find out what Champion his opponents were playing.

The incident occurred on July 25, during Week 1 of CBLOL’s second Split. In a regular season matchup, FURIA faced off against fellow Brazilian org LOS (also known as Los Grandes), ultimately losing in a 2:0 sweep.

CBLOL continued: “FURIA was notified about the severity of the situation, and Tatu is suspended for one CBLOL match. Therefore, the player will not be able to play against Vivo Keyd Stars in Round 2, scheduled for Saturday, August 1st, and will face applicable administrative sanctions.”

Due to the unexpected circumstances, CBLOL is allowing FURIA to register an emergency substitute to play in Tatu’s place. The team will reportedly opt for coach Lucas “Luuukz” Yudi to fulfill the jungle role.

FURIA Tatu Responds

Tatu took to his personal X.com account to offer a response, in which he apologized for his actions and explained his plan moving forward. The jungler stated (translated from the original Portuguese), “At all times I acted in a naive and unfortunate manner. In any case, I understand the gravity of the situation and guarantee that this will not happen again.“

He confirmed he had received ‘financial sanctions’. News outlet Sheep Esports alleges that these costs amounted to “R$10,000 (~$1.9K USD / ~€1.7K EUR).“Tatu also added that he would be working closely with FURIA’s coach Luuukz, who will sub for him in the upcoming game: “I will do my utmost to ensure he is ready for the match.”
