PARIVISION are your Esports World Cup 2026 Dota 2 champions. The Eastern European roster handled BetBoom Team 3-1 in Monday’s grand final in Paris and banked $750,000 out of a $2 million pot.

On paper it reads like a favourite doing favourite things. What actually happened over the previous week was a lot messier. Two of the scariest rosters in the game went out before the semis, and a team nobody had circled ripped the bracket apart on the way through.

PARIVISION won the Esports World Cup 2026 Dota 2, and they did it the hard way to begin with. BetBoom nicked the opening game of the best-of-five, a 48-minute slog that put PARIVISION on the back foot. Then the switch flipped.

They reeled off three maps in a row to shut the door. Game four was not close. PARIVISION ran up a 29-7 kill lead and had BetBoom tapping out in 36 minutes.

Satanic did the heavy lifting on Lifestealer and topped the kill charts. No[o]ne bounced around the map on Pangolier for 15 assists, while 9class held it all together on Keeper of the Light. More than 326,000 people were watching when the last game ended.

This is PARIVISION‘s second Tier-1 title of the 2025-2026 season, and both arrived after Clement “Puppey” Ivanov walked in as head coach back in January. The first came at DreamLeague Season 29 in May.

A near-flawless run to the trophy

Winning was one thing. The manner of it was another. PARIVISION left the group stage at 9-1 and topped Group C without breaking a sweat.

The playoff run barely got harder. They brushed Rune Eaters Esports aside in the quarterfinals, then took down Team Yandex 2-1 in a semifinal that plenty of people quietly treated as the real final. Those were the only maps that gave them any trouble.

Add it up and PARIVISION dropped just three maps across the whole Esports World Cup 2026 Dota 2. Throw in 1,000 Club Championship Points, and they roll into The International 2026 with a target on their backs and every reason to feel good about it.

What were the biggest surprises of the Esports World Cup 2026 Dota 2?

Nobody is shocked that PARIVISION lifted the trophy. Getting there was where the tournament lost its mind. A few moments stood out.

• Vici Gaming’s dark-horse run. This was the story of the event. Vici only returned to competitive Dota 2 in October 2025, and they had not cracked a top-eight finish since. At the Esports World Cup 2026 Dota 2 they clawed through the Survival Stage, knocked off 1win, then swept reigning world champions Team Falcons 2-0 to reach the semis. Fourth place for this roster is borderline absurd.

• Team Falcons dumped early. The reigning TI 2025 world champions looked sharp coming in and still went home in the quarters. Vici Gaming did the honours with a 2-0 and dropped Team Falcons into that same 5th-8th tier next to Spirit.
• Both giants gone at once. Spirit and Falcons are the two most decorated active rosters on the planet. Neither made the semis, so the final four ran without a single former world champion in it.
• A new home in Paris. For the first time the Esports World Cup left Riyadh. The 2026 Dota 2 event ran at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles instead, and that switch only got confirmed in May.

Team Yandex grabbed third with a 2-0 over Vici Gaming in the bronze match, and it was brutal. Vici typed “GG” just 18 minutes into the opener, the fastest game of the whole event. Skipper Martin “Saksa” Sazdov still walks away with another podium and a solid shout as one of the best players going right now.

What it means for The International 2026

PARIVISION are now the team everyone else has to solve. Yandex and BetBoom both looked the part. Falcons, on the other hand, have some soul-searching to do before defending a title that suddenly feels a lot less safe.
