FACEIT is finally adding new server locations for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) as part of the Season 10 update in order to give players with distant connections a smoother experience. The platform confirmed the move on October 28, 2026, as one of three headline features for the new season, alongside a revamped interface and a reworked team experience.

FACEIT Season 10 Release Date

Season 10 goes live on Wednesday, December 9, 2026, at 13:00 CET. Season 9 closes the day before, on Tuesday, December 8, at 17:00 CET, leaving a gap of roughly 20 hours between seasons.

The platform has also confirmed that the updates will be announced one at a time through November. The reveals start with servers, then team play, the platform and the rest, with everything live on December 09. Each announcement will be added to the official Season 10 page as it happens.

New Server Locations

FACEIT has not named any cities or regions as of writing this article. Those details will be the first information shared in November, ahead of the December launch. Community members have suggested places such as Turkey, Belgrade, Hong Kong and Tokyo, but none of these are confirmed.

FACEIT says the new locations are mainly for the players with suboptimal connections, meaning people who currently have to connect to distant servers. Staff, including Faceit_Mikey, said the changes should improve connection quality in underserved areas and are part of steps to match the platform’s competitive scale.

Other Season 10 Changes

The new servers are one of three headline features. The other two are a revamped interface and a reworked team experience. This means players will most likely find a fresh user interface when the update arrives, though FACEIT has not shared details about either.

Season 10 also keeps the “soft reset” approach used recently. Elo, the number representing a player’s skill, will be adjusted rather than wiped. The adjustment uses Elo at the exact end of Season 9, along with recent activity and past results.

FACEIT has specifically mentioned that how much a player’s Elo changes depends on their rank. The highest-Elo players are always reset more significantly than others because this helps manage inflation. Most players see a smaller adjustment, especially if they are more active.

In other words, top players, including Level 10 and Challenger players, see larger changes, while most others see smaller ones.

Each player then plays 10 placement matches, during which Elo moves more per game. Levels are hidden during placement, though prior Elo stays visible.

Finally, FACEIT has confirmed that Season 10 will bring more updates alongside those three key features, which might also include improvements to the AI anti-cheat system the platform recently launched to counter cheaters.
