Since the early days of VALORANT esports, Jinggg, and d4v41 have formed Paper Rex’s core alongside f0rsakeN. Now, PRX has announced the pair will transfer out before VCT 2027. Let’s recap.
On October 31, 2026, Paper Rex officially announced that longtime VALORANT roster members Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee and Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie will depart. The move occurs after Champions Shanghai 2026, where PRX qualified to Playoffs but finished 7th/8th.
The duo have both spent more than five years at the organization, becoming familiar faces in the VCT Pacific region and making several appearances at Champions. The roster is particularly well-known for winning Masters Toronto 2025, also securing second-place finishes at Masters London 2026, Masters Santiago 2026, and VALORANT Champions 2023.
Jinggg served mainly as a duelist, with particular skill on Raze. Paper Rex wrote about his departure, “We will never forget the clutches, memes, aces and memories we made. From all of us at Paper Rex, we wish Jing all the best for his future endeavors.”
Meanwhile, d4v41, who joined the PRX lineup in 2020, is a Sentinel and Controller main. Originally a Counter-Strike player, he was part of the original wave of CS pros who kick-started the VALORANT esports ecosystem. The announcement called d4v41 the ‘big brother’ of the org and likewise thanked him for his time on the team.
d4v41 had previously announced he was LFT on October 24, stating PRX had allowed him to explore other options and ‘find a new home for the next chapter of [his] career.’
Jinggg called his transfer from Paper Rex ‘the end of an incredible chapter in my life.’ He noted that he is ‘very excited to see what’s next’ and hopes the fanbase will continue their support.
Teammate Ilia “something” Petrov stopped by to acknowledge d4v41. “This is hard to write,” he noted, and called Rusyaidee “an amazing friend.” something said he had appreciated d4v41’s support throughout the years and would treasure the memories they made.
VCT 2027 is ahead, with a huge host of changes. The circuit is shifting from a franchise-based system to prioritize open qualifiers. Riot is also reevaluating team partner slots, which means longstanding orgs have to stay on their toes to keep competing.
Some teams have exited the circuit, such as KIWOOM DRX and MIBR. Others, like Aurora Gaming, see the open qualifier structure as an opportunity and have decided to invest.
Paper Rex’s transfers are typical for the VCT off-season. During this short time window, teams can make adjustments to ensure next year’s lineup is at the top of its game. Having two core players exit will change the org’s in-game strategies and dynamics.
