Plenty of high-profile FPS teams have expanded into the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) circuit since the title’s launch. 100 Thieves, FURIA, Team Vitality, and more orgs have entered the arena. Now, industry rumors indicate a new competitor might be approaching in 2027.

On August 2,2026, industry leaker ‘Rocket’ @RocketBullet claimed Team Falcons is now looking to expand into the VCT circuit. Rocket elaborated in an X.com post, saying, “The Saudi Arabian organization has applied for the new VCT partnership program.”

The move would not be far-fetched, as Team Falcons is already involved in VALORANT’s Game Changers tournament. The team runs a roster called Falcons Vega, which consistently dominates VCT SEA splits and Saudi Women’s eLeague events. Game Changers is part of the VCT ecosystem, and requires Riot Games partnerships to participate.

Falcons has also attempted to host a VALORANT team already, though the roster disbanded in 2024. The org would not be unfamiliar with the onboarding process, and would likely have plenty of connections for contracts.

According to @RocketBullets, “if accepted, [Team Falcons] would likely be the sole partnered representative of the MENA subregion.” Replies from netizens question which VCT region Team Falcons would choose to represent: EMEA and APAC are both among the possibilities.

It’s important to note that Team Falcons has not commented on the rumors yet.

What Would This Mean for VALORANT Esports?

Team Falcons’ presence in the FPS world has grown in recent years, especially since it started heavily investing in its Counter-Strike lineup. The community widely sees the org as an antihero of sorts. Falcons’ typical strategy is to enter a game’s tournament scene, buy out pro players from existing rosters with large contracts, and assemble the esports avengers in a ‘super-team.’ They have significant financial backing from donors and industry revenue, allowing them to pull standout talents from lineups that aren’t allowing them to perform at their full potentials.

We saw this most recently in Counter-Strike, where Team Falcons snatched the legendary NiKo from G2 Esports. The team also grabbed FaZe IGL karrigan and fearsome AWPer m0NESY, putting three powerhouses on the same team. The move paid off, since Team Falcons won IEM Cologne 2026 (and finally got NiKo a Major trophy).

What kind of crazy combos could the Falcons create in VCT? We don’t know, but it’s fun to think about. Imagine players as different as t3xture, kaajak, valyn, something, and Jinggg on the same roster. That’s probably what it would look like.
