The League of Legends community is abuzz after the League Classic game mode’s release, and Wild Rift isn’t missing out on the fun. A new ‘Echoes on the Rift’ event will let players link the two platforms for free rewards, and AA ARAM is getting some snazzy updates. Let’s explore everything to know, and a tutorial on how to link accounts once the event goes live.

Wild Rift is offering free rewards for players who link their League of Legends account. The game announced a limited-time event on July 25, 2025, titled “Echoes on the Rift.” The event draws inspiration from League Classic, the limited-time PC game mode that brings back the original Summoner’s Rift experience. It’s a return to the older meta with a fun, stripped-down way to enjoy the game’s roots.
During Echoes on the Rift, players can complete milestone quests to earn items. These include free cosmetics, medals, and other drops. In addition, they can access a nifty history replay that shows their best stats and moments from across their time on the Rift. It’s similar to the yearly ‘Wrapped’ trend from other apps. You can generate a replay for either League of Legends on PC or Wild Rift.
Plus, the game is releasing new Classic-inspired augments in AA ARAM.
Echoes on the Rift will go live on Friday, August 7 at 0:00 UTC. The event is limited-time, so it won’t be around forever. Make sure to grab the free goodies while you can if you want them.
To access the event rewards, you’ll need to link your Wild Rift and League of Legends accounts. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to do that. It’s important to note that this is based on the event details, which are subject to change before the final launch.

While League Classic isn’t coming to Wild Rift as a game format, the app is adding Classic-inspired Augments to its AA ARAM mode. These fresh additions arrive in the Nostalgia element category. They include abilities from the early days of League of Legends, so it’s a fun way to test out the Champions as they used to perform.
