League of Legends players could soon get the Fnatic Jarvan IV skin for free in memory of Lauri “Cyanide” Happonen. The Finnish jungler won the first World Championship with Fnatic back in 2011 and died on July 31 at the age of 31. His death only became public on October 26, right in the middle of the Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage.
How to get the free Fnatic Jarvan IV skin
The leak comes from @LeagueOfLeaks, a well-known data-mining account on X. According to the post, Riot will add two free rewards to the client: the Fnatic Jarvan IV skin and a new “Young Legend Cyanide” player title.
The unlock is easy. Play three games as Jarvan IV, and both rewards should land in your collection after the third one ends. You do not need to buy an event pass or grind tokens for it.
Riot has not confirmed any of this at the time of writing. Until an official post or the patch notes go live, treat the details as a leak.
Why Jarvan IV
The skin itself is not new. Riot released the Fnatic championship skins after the team won Season 1 at DreamHack in Sweden, and Jarvan IV was the champion picked to represent Cyanide in the jungle. Fifteen years later, it is still one of the best-known championship skins in League of Legends.
Riot has done this before
In 2025, Riot honored Maciej “Shushei” Ratuszniak, the mid laner on that same 2011 Fnatic roster, after his death. Players earned the “Shushei Forever” title and unlocked Fnatic Gragas by playing three games as Gragas. The reported Cyanide tribute copies that format almost exactly.
How Worlds 2026 remembered Cyanide
The Worlds 2026 broadcast held a moment of silence, and Bilibili Gaming jungler Xun locked in Fnatic Jarvan IV on October 26, the same day the news broke. Team Secret Whales jungler Hizto also brought the skin out during the Swiss Stage.
Fnatic changed its X profile picture to Fnatic Jarvan IV and posted a statement about his four years with the team. His old support YellOwStaR wrote a personal message about their time together and their reunion at the LoL Classic showmatch in July. That appearance, about a week before he died, turned out to be one of his last in public.
Cyanide still holds the Worlds age record
Cyanide was 16 when Fnatic lifted the Summoner’s Cup, and he remains the youngest Worlds winner in League of Legends history. Fnatic beat against All authority 2-1 in that first final, and Cyanide played the whole run in the jungle at an age when most players are still grinding solo queue.
