Dplus KIA came into the quarterfinals without a single loss at Worlds 2026. They left without a single win. BLG vs DK at Worlds 2026 ended 3-0 in Allen, Texas. Bilibili Gaming now face T1 or Karmine Corp in the semifinals.

It’s also a bit of revenge. At the Esports World Cup in July, DK knocked BLG out in the quarterfinals. They then went on to win the whole event.

BLG vs DK Worlds 2026: how the sweep happened

The numbers tell you most of it. BLG took 14 of the 15 dragons across the series, claimed all four Barons and won the kill count 62-28.

Game 1 was the only one where DK looked dangerous. BLG put Viper on Cassiopeia in the bot lane, and DK went after the pick early. Lucid found chances on Qiyana and Siwoo picked up a solo kill on Rumble.

DK built a small gold lead, but it didn’t last. A bad Rift Herald fight handed BLG three kills, and DK never got back on top. BLG closed out the opener in about 33 minutes.

Game 2 belonged to the bot lane. Viper’s Ezreal pulled off a 1v3 outplay to kill Smash. BLG then took Elder Dragon around the 30-minute mark and closed it out.

Game 3 was a stomp almost from the first minute. ShowMaker’s Viktor got caught before laning even started, and Bin picked up back-to-back solo kills on Jax. DK did find an ace around the Rift Herald, but BLG took the game straight back.

DK’s only dragon of the whole series came in that game, stolen with Pantheon. BLG then secured the Mountain Soul, took Baron and ended it. ON walked away as series MVP.

DK’s perfect run ends in one night

This one stings for Dplus KIA. They leave in fifth to eighth place with $300,000 in prize money. DK had come to Worlds as the LCK’s fourth seed. Then they went 3-0 in the Swiss Stage, beating G2, T1 and Movistar KOI.

That record didn’t buy them an easy draw. As a 3-0 team, DK had to face one of the three 3-2 sides. They drew the most dangerous one. BLG had a rough Swiss Stage with losses to Movistar KOI and Top Esports. Still, they found their form at the right time.

BLG still haven’t lost a Worlds quarterfinal

BLG have now never lost a Worlds quarterfinal in three tries. All three wins came against LCK teams. They beat Gen.G 3-2 in 2023 and Hanwha Life Esports 3-1 in 2024. Now DK join the list.

It’s their third Worlds semifinal in four appearances. BLG reached the semifinals in 2023 and the final in 2024, where they lost 3-2 to T1 in London. Last year, they went out in the Swiss Stage with a 2-3 record.

Viper back in the final four

For Viper, this one means a lot. It’s his first Worlds semifinal since he won the title with EDward Gaming in 2021. Since then, he went out in the quarterfinals three times, once with EDG and twice with Hanwha Life Esports.

Worlds 2026 semifinals schedule

With BLG through, three of the four semifinalists are set. The LCK is down to Gen.G and T1.

  • Saturday, November 7: Gen.G vs Invictus Gaming
  • Sunday, November 8: Bilibili Gaming vs T1 or Karmine Corp

T1 and Karmine Corp play the last quarterfinal tonight at 23:00 Danish time. A T1 win would set up a rematch of the 2024 final. A Karmine Corp win would give Europe its first semifinal at this Worlds. Our Worlds 2026 quarterfinals preview has the full bracket.
