New Rumors Say Nightcrawler Might Be the Next Marvel Rivals Hero

Marvel Rivals Season 9 is more than halfway through, and the community is already getting excited about what updates could be next. Recently, new leaks are popping up that claim the game’s next hero could be Nightcrawler, a familiar face in the MCU.

Nightcrawler is a mutant with connections to the X-men. He’s Mystique’s son, and his real name is Kurt Wagner. Born with blue fur and a tail, he faced rejection because of his demonic looks. However, he is known for having a gentle nature and kind heart. His character arc focuses on the beauty within as he tries to protect the same world that made him an outsider.

His mutant power lets him teleport instantly through a cloud of dark smoke, making him extremely fast and agile. Nightcrawler grew up in a traveling circus before Professor X found him and brought him into the X-Men.

What Would Nightcrawler’s Abilities Be in Marvel Rivals?

While Marvel Rivals hasn’t confirmed Nightcrawler as a Hero yet, the community is already speculating about what his abilities might be. Right now, netizens think his kit will be similar to Overwatch support hero Lifeweaver.

Lifeweaver’s main draw is his life grip ability, which lets him grab and move his teammates around the map. This is especially useful in teamfights as it pulls a teammate out of danger and shields them for a moment.
