After securing high status in Counter-Strike and other titles, it looks like Marvel Rivals may be Natus Vincere’s next home turf. Let’s recap the NaVi Marvel Rivals Ignite Mid-Season Finals win against Liquid Citadel and explore what it means for Marvel Rivals esports.
Ukrainian team Natus Vincere (NaVi) has claimed the title at the Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026 Mid-Season Finals. This event, one of the game’s highest-tier competitions, occurred on a high-profile stage in Los Angeles, CA. It boasted a sizable 500,000 USD prize pool, with NaVi grabbing 160,000 of the cut.
After rising to the top of the EMEA region during Stage 1, NaVi qualified directly the playoffs, skipping all earlier Play-In rounds. On the road to the final matchup, they took down 100 Thieves, the second-best team from North America, then swept past Virtus.pro, their closest EMEA rivals. NaVi first defeated Liquid Citadel in the Semifinals, sending them down to the lower bracket. However, the team clawed its way back up, leaving the two to meet again in a high-stakes Grand Finals rematch. Here, NaVi beat Liquid once and for all with a 4-2 scoreline, closing out a consistently strong run.

Canadian Duelist main Marschal “Terra” Weaver stood out across the whole event and picked up an MVP award for his strong performances. He secured over 40 final hits at one point, destroying the competition with his trademark Elsa Bloodstone and Winter Soldier gameplay.
NaVi’s Marvel Rivals Ignite win solidifies their standing as one of the game’s strongest teams. It also moves them to the top of the circuit’s EMEA leaderboard, backing up their 2026 Stage 1 regional dominance.
From the beginning, Marvel Rivals showed strong esports potential. The game directly took steps to court dissatisfied Overwatch players. Ex-pros, analysts, and influencers like Necros, Flats, Jay3, and Eskay took to the title like fish to water. Many of these creators hosted watch party events and became partnered co-streamers, helping boost the competitive circuit.
In 2026, Marvel Rivals esports has taken a huge leap forward. The season officially kicked off the Marvel Rivals Professional League and brought in a Partner Teams Program, It also combined portions of the Pacific region, set up new preseason events, and a promotion and relegation system. The full Ignite circui prize pool has expanded to 3 million USD, with potential to grow further. This kind of investment shows the industry is recognizing Marvel Rivals’ competitive success.
