Jeff the Land Shark is getting a makeover to become scarier than Thanos, and Marvel Rivals just gave us a first look at the new skin. Sharknos Jeff is releasing soon, bringing a Halloween costume twist to the title.
This is one of the playerbase’s most anticipated skins in a while. Jeff is a community favorite for his cuteness and silly personality. Here’s a quick recap on the skin, including its release date, what it looks like, and how players can buy it.
Thanos Jeff is a Real Skin in Marvel Rivals: Sharknos First Look
When you think about Marvel’s most terrifying villain, Thanos immediately comes to mind. Jeff the Land Shark, though, has been a lil’ too squishy and cute to make the cut… until now.
Yes, the rumors are true: Jeff is in his villain arc, and a Thanos Jeff skin is coming to the game extremely soon. It’s part of Marvel Rivals’ Halloween theme this month, which puts well-known characters in festive costumes.
We’ve already seen nurse Deadpool, Fate Witches Black Cat, and vampire hunter Elsa Bloodstone. Now, Jeff is joining the ranks.
Marvel Rivals released an official First Look video on October 21, showing Jeff with a new purple complexion. He wears Thanos’ golden armor, and his sharp teeth are replaced with glittering rainbow infinity stones.

Sharknos Jeff is releasing on Thursday, October 22 at 7 PM PT (Pacific Time). Here’s a quick time zone conversion for players in other areas:

How to Get the Sharknos Thanos Jeff Skin
Sharknos Jeff will probably be in the Marvel Rivals store. This means players will have to spend premium currency to buy him.
Typically, you have to buy Marvel Rivals skins like Thanos Jeff with Units. You can get units in small quantities through events and the Battlepass, or you can convert Lattice to Units at a 1:1 ratio.
Once you buy Sharknos Jeff, you can immediately equip him from the costumes tab in your Hero page.
