Ontario Online Casinos 2026: Legal iGO Sites
Ontario is Canada's only open online casino market: private operators registered with iGaming Ontario under AGCO standards. Here's how the system works, how to check an operator is registered, what protections you get and why you won't see bonus offers advertised.
How we score
Since April 2022, private operators can offer online casino and sports betting to people in Ontario if they're registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and have an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO). Registered operators follow the AGCO's Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming. Sites that aren't registered can't lawfully serve Ontarians.
How to tell if a casino is legal in Ontario
| Check | Where |
|---|---|
| iGO registration | The iGaming Ontario website lists every registered operator |
| AGCO registration | The AGCO publishes registered gaming operators |
| On the site | Registered operators display the iGO logo and AGCO details |
| Domain | Ontario versions often run on a separate .ca or /on/ domain |
If an operator isn't on iGO's list, it isn't legal for Ontario players, whatever its site says.
What protections you get
- Registration with a Canadian regulator and a complaints route to the AGCO.
- Responsible gambling tools: deposit and time limits, reality checks, cool-offs and self-exclusion.
- Age and identity verification at sign-up (19+).
- Segregated player funds and audited games.
Why you won't see bonus offers in Ontario
AGCO Standard 2.05 bars operators from advertising bonuses and inducements to the public in Ontario. Registered operators can only show offers to existing players inside their account, and only once the player has opted in. That's why Ontario pages, including this one, carry no bonus copy, and why bonus sites aimed at Canada show offers only outside Ontario.
Games and payments
Registered operators offer slots, live dealer tables and table games from the main studios, with Interac, cards and PayPal. Crypto isn't accepted under Ontario's standards.
Operators on this page
Our Canadian operator set is offshore and not registered with iGaming Ontario, so we don't rank any casinos for Ontario. We'll add a ranking of iGO-registered operators once they're part of our review set. The Canada-wide casino page explains how offshore operators differ.
Help in Ontario
ConnexOntario offers free, confidential support 24/7 on 1-866-531-2600. Registered operators must also link to their own responsible gambling tools.
How Ontario's market came about
Ontario opened its regulated online market in April 2022. The AGCO sets the standards and iGaming Ontario contracts with registered operators, which pay a share of revenue to the province. The model replaced a grey market in which offshore sites served Ontarians without a provincial licence.
Responsible gambling standards in Ontario
Registered operators must offer deposit, loss and time limits, reality checks, cool-offs and self-exclusion, and must verify age and identity at sign-up. Advertising rules restrict inducements and bar marketing that targets minors.
Payments at Ontario operators
Registered operators accept Interac, debit and credit cards, and e-wallets including PayPal. Crypto isn't accepted under Ontario's standards. Withdrawals usually go back to the deposit method.
Checking an operator in Ontario, step by step
1. Open iGaming Ontario's list of registered operators. 2. Find the operator's brand name and confirm it matches the site you're using. 3. Check the site shows the iGO and AGCO details. 4. If the brand isn't listed, don't use it from Ontario.

Making a complaint in Ontario
1. Raise the problem with the operator in writing and keep a reference number. 2. Use the operator's formal complaints process; registered operators must have one. 3. If it is not resolved, contact the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, which regulates operators registered with iGaming Ontario.
Keep screenshots of bets, balances and messages. This route only exists for Ontario-registered sites; offshore casinos sit outside it.
Location checks on Ontario sites
Ontario-registered operators must confirm you are physically in Ontario when you play, usually through location services on your phone or a geolocation plugin on a computer. If you travel outside the province, you can log in and withdraw but not place bets.
