Players Can Get a Free Ultron Skin in Marvel Rivals

Ultron revolutionized the Strategist meta when he arrived in Marvel Rivals in May 2025. The Hero provided a much-needed aerial support option, easily taking flight to help allies high in the sky. In Season 9, he’s become one of the game‘s more prominent picks.

As a newer addition than other characters, Ultron naturally has fewer cosmetic options. However, Marvel has been showing him some love in recent months, especially as the Avengers near another film release. In August 2026, players can grab a brand-new Ultron skin in Marvel Rivals for free: ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’

Ultron’s new skin pays homage to his appearance as Avengers: Age of Ultron’s main villain. In the movie, Tony Stark creates Ultron as an artificial intelligence meant to protect the planet. However, things go horribly wrong when Ultron gains sentience and decides that the only way to save Earth is to wipe out humanity entirely. Ultron builds an army of robotic drones, forcing the Avengers to assemble and prevent a global catastrophe.

The in-game cosmetic has shiny silver armor and sharp claws. Ultron’s suit and hovering frame are almost reminiscent of Iron Man, already a Duelist in the game. Bright red lights appear from underneath the metal.

Where is the New “Avengers: Age of Ultron” Ultron Skin?

The free Ultron skin is available in the Path to Doomsday game mode. This is a limited-time event, which gets players ready for Avengers: Doomsday‘s release in theaters. It arrived on July 30, 2026, as a PvE mode themed around Age of Ultron.

Players can build their own Hero roster to defend Avengers Tower from waves of Ultron’s robotic army. Each chapter is inspired by a different film in the Avengers franchise. Since the new movie officially launches in December, Marvel Rivals will probably keep rolling out related content until then.

How to Get the Free Ultron Skin in Marvel Rivals

Players can obtain the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” Ultron skin by completing the event. It’s important to note that this skin will be completely free. You don’t need to pay any Units or Lattice with real-world currency to get it.

To grab the new Ultron cosmetic, simply follow these steps:

• Open Marvel Rivals.
• Go to the featured game mode tab. It should appear on the Home Screen.
• Select “Path to Doomsday.”
• Set the mode to Hard difficulty.
• Complete Path to Doomsday on Hard difficulty for the first time. This should grant you the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” Ultron skin.
