Fortnite’s Crew subscription is ringing in the new year with some big 2027 changes. Crew Pack outfits are leaving, but players will get more XP and V-Bucks. Let’s recap.
On November 4, 2026, Epic Games announced major changes to Fortnite Crew. The subscription, which gives players additional content, adds an extra layer of unlockables each month.
There are several big shifts on the way. First, Fortnite Crew will no longer unlock Crew Pack Outfits. Previously, you could unlock special skins for being a member. These won’t release in the future, and will no longer be part of the Crew benefits.
Notably, December is the last release date for a new Crew Pack Outfit. After that, if you were a subscriiber, all previous Crew Packs you owned will reappear as Legacy Styles, and you’ll get them all.
The OG Pass is also getting discontinued, effective immmediately on December 4, 2026.

As a trade-off for fewer skins, Fortnite Crew subscribers can expect more V-Bucks from their subscriptions. The lowest membership tier will now raise to 1,000 V-Bucks, with increases for all levels.
Players will get more V-Bucks the longer they stay subscribed to Fortnite Crew. Passing certain time thresholds will progress your rank.
The new V-Bucks amounts are:
If you’ve already been a Fortnite Crew subscriber, your starting tier will depend on how many months you’ve purchased within the past 12 months. This means long-time members can jump straight into the highest benefits.
Also, Fortnite’s official announcement notes that if you “re-subscribe between December 6 and December 31, 2026 11:59 PM ET […] your V-buck tier will reflect your most recent continuous subscription period over the past 12 months.”
Additional XP is another benefit in the update. Fortnite Crew members will gain XP 20% faster, which has some big implications. Players can complete battlepasses quicker with this mechanic. Plus, players in your squad who don’t have Fortnite Crew still get a 10% XP increase when they play with you.
No: even though Fortnite Crew is shifting what it includes, the price won’t change. Players won’t have to pay any more for the V-Bucks and XP increases. The cost remains 11.99 USD per month.
Yes, all Fortnite Crew players still get pass access. This includes the Battle Pass, Music Pass, LEGO Pass, and Rocket Pass Premium.
Also, Fortnite recently earned backlash from the community for extending the month’s Music Pass and LEGO Pass instead of creating new ones. The game has since reversed its decision, now adding a mini-pass for both seasons. Epic has announced with the Crew update that future passes will be full-size again, and the mini passes are temporary.

Monarcha is Fortnite’s current exclusive outfit. She has a spooky vibe, with a dark bodysuit that has pink designs. Monarcha arrives with a matching LEGO outfit, a pickaxe, and a cape back bling.
She’ll be available until Wednesday, December 4, 2026. After that, Fortnite is launching its final subscription cosmetic pack before the big Crew update removes them.
December will be the last month Fortnite Crew operates with its usual drops. After that, subscribers will no longer receive Crew Pack outfits. Throughout 2027, the new format will continue.
