The Phantom Thieves are going to be stealing your Fortnite frags next: a new Persona 5 Joker skin will hop on the battle bus in Chapter 7 Season 4. Here’s everything we know so far.
Fortnite x Persona 5 Collab: New Joker Skin
On August 13, 2026, Persona 5 developer ATLUS released a video confirming Persona 5 Joker will become a Fortnite skin in the ‘Override’ event. The clip showed purple code flashing across the screen, tying into Chapter 7 Season 4 ‘Override.’ ATLUS captioned it, “Ready to take your heart.”
We also got a glimpse of what Joker’s Fortnite skin will look like. He wears his signature red-and-black costume, with a long trenchcoat and the iconic mask. The dev team has kept his cosmetic extremely accurate to the original game, and it has a cartoony and anime-inspired style.
When is the Fortnite Persona 5 Joker Skin Release Date?
At the time of writing, Fortnite has not announced an official release date for the Persona 5 Joker skin. However, we know it will arrive sometime during Chapter 7 Season 4, which places its earliest potential drop on Thursday, August 20, 2026. It’s likely Joker will drop closer to the start of the Season, but we don’t know for sure. We’ll update this as more information comes out, so stay locked in.
How to Get the Fortnite Persona 5 Joker Skin
As of right now, Fortnite hasn’t announced where the Persona 5 Joker skin is in the game. Epic Games partner and reputable leaker @ShiinaBR did post an image of Joker with the caption ‘S4 Battle Pass is crazy so far,” so we can’t rule out the possibility that he’s part of its progression track.
How Much Does the Fortnite Persona 5 Joker Skin Cost?
If Joker is in the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass, players will have to pay 800 V-Bucks (about 9 USD) to unlock it. Then, they’d have to grind through the tiers to get enough XP. You can also get the Battlepass through Fortnite Crew subscriptions, which cost about 12 USD per month.
Otherwise, Joker could be an in-game Shop skin. If he was, we’d likely see him as part of a bundle with additional accessories. He would still cost V-Bucks, but Fortnite would have to reveal the amount.
Fortnite Chapter 7: Season 4 Release Date And Time
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 is releasing on Thursday, August 20, 2026. It arrives right after Season 3 wraps up with the Unstable live event. This is one of the last seasonal releases of Chapter 7. It will pave the way for major updates in Chapter 8.
The Season will have a Override theme, where classic games from the past hack into Fortnite’s world and ‘reboot’ it. So far, the confirmed collab list includes:
- 99 Nights in the Forest
- Persona 5
- Pac-Man
- Tetris
- Sonic
- Kingdom Hearts
Many sources and rumors alleged that Five Nights at Freddy’s and Minecraft would be on the list. This was due to one of Fortnite’s ambiguously worded lobby codes, ‘Survive the Night.’ The phrase has significant meaning in both Minecraft and FNAF, but it ended up referring to 99 Nights in the Forest instead.
