Only a few League of Legends patch notes are left before Worlds, and the community is getting ready for some last-minute Champion changes. Here’s everything to know about Patch 26.19 before it rolls out.

What’s in League of Legends Patch 26.19?

League of Legends Patch 26.19 is locked in on Champion changes. According to Lead Gameplay Designer @RiotPhroxzon’s patch preview, we’ll see buffs, nerfs, and smaller adjustments across Summoner’s Rift. Aatrox, Aphelios, Aurora, Fiora, and Kha’Zix all get stronger, while Nasus, Ryze, and Rumble take hits to their power. Lucian gets reworked rather than nerfed, aimed at easing his tight bond with certain supports in Solo Queue. Top Lane also sees a Teleport buff meant to help the role compete at higher skill levels. Add in tweaks to Master Yi, Vi, and the Runic Compass line, and this patch touches nearly every part of the map. Let’s dive in.

Toplane Teleport Buff Explained

Riot is buffing Teleport for top laners through a Role Quest. The goal is to make the role stronger at higher skill levels. The studio picked Teleport to change for two reasons: first, skilled toplaners use it better than lower elo players. As RiotPhroxzon says, it also supports the side lane ‘raid boss’ split push identity many top laners want:

  • TP CD: 420s → 390s
  • Upgraded TP CD is reduced by 30s

Because of Patch 26.19’s focus on the top lane, we’ll see plenty of Champions in the category get big changes. Aatrox, Nasus, Fiora, Volibear, and Rumble are just a few on the list.

Why Is Riot Buffing Top Lane?

RiotPhroxzon explains that the studio looked at top lane popularity across every skill bracket. The role is popular and strong from low through medium ranks, roughly up to Emerald. After that, it drops off.

Regional data shows a clear split. In Eastern regions, top lane stays stable even at high ELO In many Western regions, though, it sits near the bottom at those same brackets. That gap is a clear indicator that players in those regions think the role is unfun, underpowered, or both. The top lane seems to be genuinely struggling past a certain point.

RiotPhroxzon claims part of the issue involves ADCs. The power top lane loses at higher elo goes to bot laners. High elo ADCs are farming much more easily while facing far less punishment from their naturally squishy build.

Melee Support Buffs in 26.19

Alongside top lane, melee supports are another role that will receive special attention in 26.19. “We’re moving some of the power of base health in the Support items into Health Regeneration to better benefit Melee Supports,” RiotPhroxzon says. Ideally, this will make it easier for them to duel with ranged supports. Melee supports should be more survivable and can actually defeat ranged opponents now if they play their cards right. The team cautions: “While this is a relatively small swing, we expect it to be subtly impactful at all levels of play.”

Champion Buffs

A ton of Champions are getting buffs in 26.19. Aurora, Lillia, Master Yi, and Volibear are some of the more popular names players will notice on the list.

RiotPhroxzon has some special notes for Master Yi. Previously, Master Yi’s Q cooldown refund used to scale down with ability haste. Riot added that rule years ago because of Duskblade. Duskblade is gone now, so that old fix no longer makes sense. This means the devs have removed the scaling and made the cooldown refund flat.

  • Aatrox: Gets a faster W cooldown and heals more from his E based on bonus health.
  • Aphelios: Calibrum hits harder, Severum heals more, Gravitum’s slow lasts longer at low stacks, Infernum’s cooldown drops faster, and Crescendum’s chakram deals more damage.
  • Aurora: Her R stays active longer and E deals more base damage.
  • Draven: Gets more base attack damage.
  • Elise: W grants more bonus attack speed and her passive deals more magic damage on hit.
  • Fiora: Gains more base health per level, a longer R heal range, and a stronger heal per tick that scales better with bonus AD.
  • Kha’Zix: Passive damage increases and scales better with bonus AD, W’s evolved slow lasts longer, and E’s evolved range bonus grows.
  • Lillia: Gets more base armor and a longer sleep duration on her R.
  • Master Yi: Q’s cooldown refund on hit becomes a flat value instead of being reduced by ability haste.
  • Volibear: Passive attack speed scales better with AP, and his on-hit lightning damage now also scales with bonus AD.

Champion Nerfs

This patch, Nasus takes a flat damage nerf to his Q. That makes it harder for him to reach his high stack counts. Lane opponents get more room to punish him early. Riot likes his power at high stacks, but that power needs real lows to balance it out.

Meanwhile, Orianna got pulled from the original Patch Notes as Riot didn’t want to nerf a champion already weak in regular Ranked play. Ryze’s early lane pushing power goes down, and his durability goes up to keep his overall power neutral. Ryze already snowballs hard with Actualizer late game, so Riot is staying cautious about adding damage back into the kit.

  • Nasus: Q deals less bonus damage.
  • Nocturne: R’s cooldown gets longer.
  • Poppy: Q’s damage cap against monsters gets lower.
  • Rumble: Overheat grants less bonus attack speed, though his damage cap against monsters goes up.
  • Ryze: E costs more mana and Q’s flux bonus damage gets weaker, though his armor growth improves.
  • Vi: Loses some base attack damage while gaining more per level, and her passive shield covers less max health.

Champion Adjustments

Riot originally listed Lucian as a Patch 26.19 nerf. However, he has now been shifted to an ‘adjustment’ after community feedback.

Right now, Lucian Mid and Top sit at extremely low win rates. Picking him there borders on griefing. Riot wants Solo Queue pairings to feel better without changing his overall power in Bot Lane. “Our current approach is to make Lucian’s reliance on specific supports much less tightly bound,” RiotPhroxzon says.

  • Lucian: His passive Vigilance on-hit damage goes down and scales less with attack damage, but his Q’s base damage goes up in exchange.

Item and System Changes in Patch 26.19

World Atlas is receiving adjustments this Patch. This continues the trend of Support changes.

  • World Atlas / Runic Compass: Early health from the item goes down, but health regen ramps up faster at earlier stages.
  • HP: 30/100/200 → 0/60/150
  • HP Regen: 25%/50%/75% → 50%/75%/75%
