League Classic Tournament GO4LoL is Here, Triumphant Ryze is a Prize

Riot Games’ League Classic tournaments caught the esports worlds’ attention. League Classic itself is a blast to the past, but the studio’s esports efforts for it also focus on an old-school LAN vibe. The next GO4LoL phase will kick off throughout August: Here’s everything to know.

GO4LoL League Classic Kicks Off in August

GO4LoL’s Spanish League Classic tournament is kicking off in August 2026. The event, which spans four weeks, will bring esports competition to League of Legends‘ newest (or oldest, depending on how you look at it) gamemode.

The effort is a collaboration between Riot Games and GGTech Entertainment, an esports and tech entertainment organizer. It includes “a trip back in time to remember “the rankeds of the past” through nostalgia and a program full of unforgettable memories.” The tournament will feature “exclusive programming” tied to the game.

Tournament Format and Info

GO4LoL‘s Spanish run will include one tournament each Saturday until the end of August. The matchups are weekly Cups, with “an open, online, accessible format with a clear focus on the community.” These are single-elimination, best-of-1 games. In other words, each team only has one chance per matchup to progress. The Cups’ winners will qualify for the main, final GO4LoL phase, occurring on August 30.

Alongside the August 30 Grand Fial, the tourney is hosting a showmatch. The event will include pro players, content creators, and influencers from across the League of Legends community. “Some of the most representative figures in the history of League of Legends in Spain will be able to compete.”

• August 29: Weekly Open Cup 4
• August 30: Grand Final and Showmatch

Triumphant Ryze is the Prize

GO4LoL’s regional Cup winners will grab some in-game goodies. There’s a cash prize pool for the top 64 teams, and the Champion team of each weekly Cup will take home the Triumphant Ryze skin. Lower placements can grab Orbs, Hextech chests and keys, and Aspects.

The Triumphant Ryze skin has a long competitive history. Typically, the skin has been reserved as a local tournament reward. Players couldn’t get it through the shop, so it was a big flex to have the cosmetic in your inventory. After pausing Triumphant Ryze’s run for several years, it has just now returned in 2026, and GO4LoL will be one of the first events to offer it again.
