K/DA New Music Release Date: ‘Start a Fire’ is Coming

2026 has been League of Legends’ musical moment. After months of leaks, we finally saw HEARTSTEEL, True Damage, and Pentakill return, and the era isn’t over yet. We now have an official release date for virtual girl group K/DA’s next song, and the band has also dropped a title. Here’s everything we know so die-hard fans can get ready.

K/DA New Song Release Date: October 20

For the past few months, League has been teasing returns for each of its virtual music groups. First, HEARTSTEEL arrived with ‘Live My Life.’ This was a pop-style, easy listening tune featuring Kayn, Ezreal, Aphelios, Sett, and K’Sante. Next, True Damage brought the Worlds 2026 Anthem, ‘Know My Name.’ Riot threw in another unexpected return this past week with heavy metal crew Pentakill, who contributed to the event’s orchestral theme.

Now, the main event is finally here: K/DA has confirmed its comeback, and we have a release date for its new song. The track will release on Tuesday, October 20.

The girl group, including Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa, started it all. In November 2018, they became Riot Games’ first virtual band, inspired by K-pop supergroups. Their singles became massive hits (POP/STARS in particular has over 400 million listens on Spotify) and League players started unironically stanning them. In-game skins followed, which also grew extremely popular.

New K/DA Song Title: ‘Start A Fire’

On October 14, 2026, K/DA revealed the title of its next drop. ‘Start a Fire’ will bring listeners into a new era.

The group announced this on its official X account, asking: “Do we have your attention?” The post has gone viral, with over a million views. It shows a montage image of the members’ eyes in sparkly makeup.

‘Start a Fire’ sounds pretty bold and high-energy. The girls also wear makeup in a specific color scheme: pink, purple, and gold seem like the main parts of this look. Sunset tones take center stage.

Which Champions are in K/DA?

There are four main members in K/DA. These Champions all appear in-game, and you can play them while listening to their tunes. They are:

• Evelynn
• Kai’Sa

Who Voices K/DA?

Previously, Madison Beer, Jaira Burns, and G-IDLE voiced the characters. Riot hasn’t confirmed yet if the vocalist lineup will remain the same.

Are New K/DA Skins Coming in 2026?

Several reputable leakers have stated new K/DA skins are arriving with the group’s comeback. We also saw some leaked images of merch, lightsticks, and chibi art featuring the designs. Riot has not confirmed this yet, though, so plans can change.

What is the K/DA Skins Release Date?

It’s common for League of Legends to release a skin drop for each champion in its virtual bands when they launch a music video. For example, we saw new HEARTSTEEL skins arrive with each different concept.

Judging by K/DA’s ‘Start A Fire’ aesthetic, the skins will probably be bold and glamorous. They usually look similar to their music video equivalents.
