Overwatch is Spamming Frogger. Is a Lúcio Mythic Skin Coming?

Let’s break it down: something big might be brewing for Lúcio mains. The official Overwatch X account is spamming Frogger, and some netizens think a mythic skin or another big update could be on the way.

‘What is Going On?’ The Overwatch Account is Spamming Frogger

Frogger is Overwatch’s most famous Lúcio main with over 650,000 YouTube subscribers. Aside from posting high-speed rollouts and clip compilations, he’s extremely present in the game’s overall creator ecosystem. Many community members credit him with popularizing Lúcio as a Support, as his playstyle embodied the character’s chill vibes and creativity.

On October 2, the official Overwatch account started spamming Frogger with frog emojis out of nowhere. We’re talking walls of text on more than 10 of his X.com posts, just completely made of frogs.

Of course, Lúcio has a frog theme, so it’s not hard to tell what the emojis are referring to. Still, another question remains: as Frogger himself put it, “WHAT IS GOING ON?”

Notably, the Overwatch account just replied to the post above with even more frog emojis. The Blizzard team seems to be keeping things mysterious.

Are We Finally Getting a Lúcio Mythic Skin?

Why would the official Overwatch page spam the Lúcio king? Well, fans are putting together some pretty convincing theories.

Overwatch is releasing Season 5: A Grim Doctrine soon. The launch trailer is arriving on October 5, and it’ll probably reveal a ton more about the update. So far, we know about the new support hero Doctrine, a Sombra support rework, big Roadhog changes, and a new Escort map called Watchpoint: Grímsvötn.

Maybe there’s something special Overwatch is planning in Season 5 related to Lúcio. This could be anything, from a new Lúcio game mode to a Lúcio-themed event. What’s more likely, though, is a new skin. Lúcio fans have been asking for a Mythic for a while. Could Overwatch finally deliver with the new update?

It’s also entirely possible all of this could just be a silly and goofy prank… but it would be a crazy coincidence if so.
