American actor Ben Affleck wears many hats. Aside from his main career, he is a director, writer and producer. Movie enthusiasts may know him from the Oscar-winning Good Will Hunting, which he wrote with Matt Damon, Argo, and other films. Comic fans also remember him as Batman and Daredevil. Affleck has also become an AI company founder, selling one venture to Netflix in 2026. What does he do with his spare time? Well, fans have an answer: on a recent podcast, Affleck revealed he plays Fortnite.
Anyone can be a gamer, since the title is more about enjoying the hobby and participating than how often one plays. Ben Affleck has been public about his love for gaming for a while.
We know for certain that Ben Affleck follows some esports. His son is a big VALORANT fan, and they have both rooted for Sentinels in the past. The duo even appeared live on a Twitch watch party with Tarik and Sentinels CEO Rob Moore.
During his Sentinels appearance, Affleck spoke at length about how he actually plays VALORANT. He talked about his experiences with aim, his favorite Agents, and what it’s like to be in games anonymously. Affleck reportedly plays KAY/O and Raze most, but says he has a large Agent pool and likes to experiment with different picks.
In October 2026, Affleck revealed he has taken up a new gaming challenge. The Batman v Superman star is now in his Battle Royale arc. On the New Heights podcast, Ben Affleck said he is playing Fortnite, but is getting diffed by 12 year olds.
“I play first person shooter games, so I think I’m good and sh–,” Affleck said. “You know, you try to f— around and get on, and then 12 year olds just f— you up.”
“I try to come out and I get killed right away, and then they taunt you and sh–. Like, you suck! F— you!”
Affleck continued: “I end up getting in arguments. Like, f— you! I don’t suck! I’m a grown man!”
The actor commented on his Fortnite cosmetics locker. “My son… you know, he’s new, [I’m] getting old, he’s going through the skins… and he’s like, ‘that’s tuff.’ I’m like, is that tuff? Dude’s wearing a bunny hat and, the f—, he’s got a tutu on.”
Affleck said the game’s skins are ‘so random’ and ‘unusual.’
He also gave his thoughts on the skins’ costs:
“They’re 300 bucks. I’m like, for cost, is that even real? Just to wear in the game? [My son] is like, ‘they’re limited edition.’ That’s bullsh–, man. Like, they’re just stupid. They’re getting so much cash off of that.”
As Affleck continues his Battle Royale grind, there’s always a small chance Batman could be in your lobby. You never know who could be sitting next to you on the Battle Bus.
