Former MOUZ NXT Academy player PR has just returned to the team’s main Counter-Strike roster. Let’s explore everything to know about the move and how it affects Counter-Strike esports.
On July 14, 2026, German esports org MOUZ announced that Oldřich “PR” Nový has returned to its main Counter-Strike roster. Nový, who originally joined the Academy team MOUZ NXT in July 2023, has spent the past year on rival team GamerLegion.

In an X.com post unveiling the transfer, MOUZ wrote: “Time to run it back, PR! After almost 2 years, Oldřich “PR” Nový returns to the Main Team.”
Typically, an esports org’s Academy team helps develop young talent before they’re ready for the main roster. These secondary squads let players gain competitive experience and refine their mechanical skills in lower-tier tournaments. It also acts as a talent pipeline, giving scouts and coaches a chance to evaluate prospects over time and identify who’s ready to step up when a main roster spot opens.
While on GamerLegion, PR started 2026 with a decently successful run. The team placed 2nd in IEM Atlanta 2026, and also scored a respectable 3rd/4th in BLAST Rivals Spring 2026. However, GamerLegion declined sharply at the IEM Cologne Major, exiting the tourney among its lowest placements.
Nový’s addition follows Jimpphat‘s July 2nd departure to Aurora Gaming. In addition, HEROIC signed former MOUZ core roster member Brollan on July 7th.

MOUZ has experienced championship highs and then returned to form after serious roster rebuilds. The org swept through the competition from 2017-2020, winning ESL Pro League Season 10. Things were relatively quiet for several years after 2020, when significant reshuffles rocked the lineup. The squad picked things up again, though, reaching the 2022 IEM Rio Major Semifinals. Notably, the MOUZ NXT Academy team supported this transition. It helped develop players like torzsi and xertioN, who are still active, for the main roster as the organization shifted into Counter-Strike 2.
Fresh leadership is sparked a turnaround in 2025. After Brollan took over as in-game leader, MOUZ won PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 and later stunned defending Major champions Team Spirit at the BLAST.tv Austin Major. They also reached the semifinals before falling to Team Vitality, a testament to the team’s resilience after change.
However, Brollan has just departed to HEROIC, and jL has left after his loan expired. This means the org has swapped three of its five core members in the past few months, also completely shifting in-game leadership. PR’s return means he has big shoes to fill. That said, his Academy team roots provide him with a playstyle that’s likely consistent with existing MOUZ training, and his time on GamerLegion helped him prove his capabilities on an international stage.
