Team Liquid knocked out Vitality and G2 to reach the BLAST Bounty Season 2 quarter-finals. Their reward is Team Spirit, first match, first day.

BLAST put the best tie of the round in the opening slot. Good for the broadcast. Awkward if you are at work at three in the afternoon.

The full schedule

All times CEST.

Thursday 30 July

Friday 31 July

  • FaZe vs The MongolZ at 14:30
  • Astralis vs paiN at 17:30

Spirit vs Liquid

Spirit reached Malta by taking 100 Thieves apart 13-0 for the last playoff spot. A 13-0 at this level is not a scoreline you see often, and it is the single cleanest map either of these teams has put up at the event.

Liquid got here the harder way. Vitality and G2 back to back is the strongest two-series run anyone managed on the way through the bracket, and it ends a long stretch of Liquid being written off before events started.

Spirit remain favourites on reputation. That reputation has not been tested by a Liquid side in this shape.

MOUZ vs 3DMAX

3DMAX are the last of the group-stage surprises still breathing, and MOUZ are the highest seed left in the top half. We do not have a recent head-to-head worth leaning on, so read this one off the veto rather than the rankings.

FaZe vs The MongolZ

Friday’s opener. Both rosters have spent 2026 in the same rough tier without much separating them on paper, which makes this the hardest of the four to call and the easiest to skip if you only have time for one.

Astralis vs paiN

The Danish tie, and the one closing the round. paiN have already shown at this event that seeding stops meaning much once the bracket starts, so Astralis fans should not be reading this as a comfortable draw.

What the bounty layer changes

BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026 runs $1,150,000 across 32 teams, with playoffs in Malta. Bounties sit on top of placement money, so beating a marked team pays in a way it would not at a standard event.

Of the teams carrying a $60,000 bounty at the start, only Spirit are still in the draw. Every other big target went out earlier. Falcons, FURIA and Vitality all lost in the group stage, which is how a last eight ends up containing both 3DMAX and paiN.

For the six remaining underdogs, Spirit are the last large payday on the board. Liquid get first crack at it.

What follows Malta

Most of these rosters head next to the Esports World Cup 2026 CS2 event and its $2,000,000 prize pool, so form built here carries straight into something bigger.

There is also a Major result hanging over the bracket. Team Falcons beat FURIA 3-0 in the IEM Cologne 2026 grand final, and Spirit went out to Falcons in the semis. Malta is the first chance Spirit have had to answer that. Live results are on the BLAST Bounty Season 2 tournament page.
