BLAST Open Porto has concluded with one of the most intense rematches in recent Counter-Strike history. MOUZ and Team Spirit met once again in the Grand Finals, fighting a best-of-five to determine which team has the upper hand in standings as the season ends. It’s a good day for donk: Team Spirit has just taken home the BLAST Open Porto trophy, defeating MOUZ in a 3-1 series. MOUZ had actually beaten Spirit in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 finals just a couple months earlier. This time, Spirit made sure there was no repeat, closing things out with confidence.

The series itself opened on Dust2, where both sides were locked at 6-6 heading into the second half. Spirit pulled ahead with a strong CT-side showing. The team only dropped two rounds in the half, demonstrating their comfort on their first map pick. MOUZ’s T side just couldn’t keep up, leading to a 13-8 win.

MOUZ gained back some ground on its pick Mirage, with PR popping off. The team once again suffered on the attack, but picked up steam on CT. MOUZ won nine rounds straight, settling the score line at 13-11,but it was still too close for comfort. An unsettling feeling hovered in the arena that this was just the calm before the storm.

However, Spirit answered right back by taking the following round with a thrifty win, snuffing out any real chance of a MOUZ comeback. AWPer sh1ro stood out as a strong contributor to the win, delivering one of his best performances of the year. MOUZ IGL xertioN put up a respectable fight, but it wasn’t enough to shut down the Spirit squad. What’s Next for TS and MOUZ? Counter-Strike Context

Team Spirit’s year hasn’t been flawless. They lost the BLAST Bounty Season 2 final to MOUZ and fell to Falcons in the IEM Cologne Major semifinals, so there’s still some debate about whether Spirit or a team like Falcons truly holds the title of best in the world. That said, the BLAST Open Porto 2026 win puts them right back at the top of the conversation for the best team in Counter-Strike, with another trophy to back it up.

In addition, the victory came right on the heels of their Esports World Cup title. It’s a serious win streak heading into the fall. Along the way, Spirit also beat Falcons, G2, and FURIA without dropping a single map in the group stage, showing a level of consistency that’s hard to find anywhere else in the scene right now.

As for what’s next, the biggest event on the horizon for both teams is the PGL Major Singapore 2026, which will run from November 25th to December 13th. This will be the first CS2 Major ever held in Southeast Asia, featuring 32 teams battling through three stages for a $1.25 million prize pool. Spirit will head into that Major as one of the clear favorites given their recent form, while MOUZ still has plenty to prove after coming up short in the Porto final despite a strong tournament run overall.
