Game Changers Americas LCQ 2026 Returns to Brazil With One Championship Spot Left

Three teams. Two days of LAN. One ticket to the biggest tournament in women’s VALORANT.

Riot has confirmed that the Game Changers Americas LCQ heads back to São Paulo. The tournament runs on October 14 and 15 at the Riot Games Arena in Brazil. That puts it exactly one week before the Game Changers Championship starts in the same city.

For the teams involved, it sums up the whole season. Finish second in your region, then win two days of LAN or go home.

What is the Game Changers Americas LCQ?

The Americas circuit splits into three regions: Brazil, North America and Latin America. Each regional winner already holds a Championship spot. The Game Changers Americas LCQ gathers the seed 2 teams from all three circuits, and they play for the final slot.

North America settles its representative on points instead of a playoff bracket. The team with the second most Game Changers Championship Circuit Points that did not win Stage 2 travels to Brazil. Brazil and Latin America send their own second seeds. So a full season of results decides the field, not one hot weekend.

Riot used the same structure last year, and it lands in the same place. Brazil has hosted the Americas LCQ before. The crowd in São Paulo is a big reason why.

Schedule and format

Day one is a round-robin between the three teams. Day two takes the top two from those matches. They then play a best-of-five, and the winner qualifies for the Game Changers Championship.

• Round-robin: October 14, starting at 11AM PT
• Final: October 15, starting at 2PM PT

Doors open one hour before the matches begin.

A best-of-five with a world championship on the line already carries pressure. Add a Brazilian home crowd and two days of LAN, and it gets heavier. There is no bracket reset here. Lose the round-robin badly and you never reach the final.

Where does the event take place?

Riot Games Arena São Paulo, at Av. Thomas Edison 849, Barra Funda, São Paulo, SP, 01140-001.

Both days run in front of a live audience. Anyone who watched previous Game Changers events in Brazil knows what that adds. Brazilian fans have turned neutral matches into home games before, and the visiting teams will feel it.

How do you get tickets?

Ticket sales start on September 18 at 1PM PT on eventim.com.br. Riot has already opened pre-registration. Do that early if you plan to attend, because the Riot Games Arena holds a limited crowd and these events move quickly.

Tickets cost R$120 at full price and R$60 at half price, with a limit of four per person per event day. The half price option follows the legislation currently in force in the state of São Paulo.

Why this LCQ carries more weight than usual

The Game Changers Championship starts on October 22 at the Riot Games studios in São Paulo. That gives the winner barely a week to reset. Jet lag will not bother the Brazilian representative. A North American or Latin American team, though, has to arrive early and hit the ground sharp.

Then there is the seeding problem. A team that scrapes through the Game Changers Americas LCQ reaches Championship with no rest and a very public read on their playbook. Three teams over two days means the rest of the field films and studies every map, every comp and every default.

Second seeds have caused trouble at Championship before, though. Teams at this stage usually spent a season one series away from qualifying outright.

What we still do not know

Riot has published the dates, the venue and the ticket details. The three participating teams remain open. The regional circuits still have to play out, and the North American slot depends on how the Championship Circuit Points settle after Stage 2.

Expect the full list of qualified teams closer to the event, plus broadcast and language details. The calendar itself already stands: October 14 and 15 in São Paulo, then Championship from October 22.
