Stellar Blade is bringing a big collab into the competitive gaming world soon. Overwatch x Eve Protocol will kick off shortly, and fans just got official confirmation.

Here’s a recap of everything we know about the partnership. Fans are already theorizing about potential hero skins, what characters will show up, and a release date: let’s dive in.

Stellar Blade Announces Overwatch x Eve Protocol Collab

On October 23, 2026, Overwatch announced its newest collab venture. Overwatch will partner with Stellar Blade, the Korean sci-fi FPS, and bring its characters to the game as skins. The team up is officially called Overwatch x Eve Protocol.

The official Stellar Blade account posted a short teaser. It said, “You have my attention! Overwatch x EVE Protocol collaboration incoming.”

What is Stellar Blade?

For the unfamiliar, Stellar Blade is an action game from Korean studio Shift Up. Sony is the publisher. It originally launched in 2024, and is available on PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

The story is a bit spooky, so it’s perfect for the fall season. It takes place on a ruined Earth. You play as Eve, an elite soldier from the 7th Airborne Squad. She returns to Earth from a space colony to fight monsters called Naytibas, restoring the planet after the apocalypse.

What is the Eve Protocol?

The EVE Protocol is the master plan, and it’s just another name for Eve’s mission. An AI called Mother Sphere created it, sending Eve and other soldiers to Earth. Their job is to wipe out the Naytibas and retake the planet.

Fans of the game know there is more to it, though. The game has a big twist at the end, and Eve’s choices decide how the mission plays out.

Why The Collab Works

Overwatch has done many collabs in 2026. Past ones include LE SSERAFIM, and Solo Leveling, but Neir: Automata is another game-related pick.

Stellar Blade also has crossover history. Eve has appeared in Goddess of Victory: Nikke, another Shift Up game.

In addition, Stellar Blade comes to Switch 2 on November 5. A sequel, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, is also in production, so it’s an apt time to bring an Overwatch collab in and grow awareness. Typically, Overwatch’s partnerships help expand its player base while also giving veteran competitors new content to look forward to.

What’s in the Stellar Blade Overwatch x Eve Protocol Collab?

Alongside new Overwatch skins for several heroes, the collab probably includes a full bundle. This could mean accessories, emotes, sprays, and more content become available. We won’t know for sure, though, until the official teaser releases.

  • A set of limited-time skins
  • A themed bundle in the shop
  • A possible weapon skin or mythic
  • Possible sprays, charms, or player icons

Overwatch x Eve Protocol Stellar Blade Skins: Release Date?

Right now, Overwatch and Stellar Blade haven’t confirmed a release date. However, fans are saying to watch for the mid-season update.

Season 5 started on October 6, 2026. It ends on about December 8 Every mid-season update this year has landed four weeks after its season began. That points to Tuesday, November 3, 2026 as a possible launch.

Overwatch updates usually go live at 11 AM PT, which is 2 PM ET.

Which Characters are in the Overwatch x Stellar Blade Collab?

Overwatch hasn’t confirmed yet which Stellar Blade characters will come to the game yet. However, since the team-up specifically refers to the Eve Protocol, we have some clues.

Potential Overwatch x Eve Protocol Skins

  • Eve
  • Adam
  • Lily Artemis II

Eve is the most obvious pick for an Overwatch costume. In the series, she teams up with a scavenger named Adam. He’ll probably be another featured Hero cosmetic. Lily Artemis II is another key squadmate who could show up.

Potential Overwatch x Eve Protocol Heroes

  • Mercy would fit. Stellar Blade calls Eve and her squadmates ‘angels,’ which is another huge theme for this Support. Overwatch has also confirmed in the past that popular heroes receive more frequent skins, so Mercy is an easy guess.
  • Echo could be a possible pick, since Stellar Blade is all about robots and androids. She’d fit right in.
  • Genji is a cyborg, so he could arrive for similar reasons.
  • Vendetta: Eve fights with a blade and fast dodges, so maybe a Vendetta skin would work nicely?
  • Anran: Anran’s dashes and mobile combat are another potential match for Eve.
  • Kiriko: Overwatch loves its Kiriko skins, and she also partially matches Eve’s combat.
  • D.Va might appear, since Lily Artemis II uses a mecha suit in the game.
