After several months of hints, Fortnite has officially confirmed its Persona 5 collab as part of Chapter 7 Seson 4: Override. Epic Games just gave us a release date for the Phantom Thieves skins, and we also know that two additional characters will join Joker. Here’s a quick recap.
Fortnite Confirms Persona Skins
Epic Games first began teasing a Fortnite x Persona 5 collab way back in August, with Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. The season went live on August 20, 2026, and it included a full cyber makeover. As part of its theme, classic games ‘hack’ into Fortnite’s code, taking over the game with glitches and offering new abilities. The battle pass and other collabs have already revealed Sonic, Crash Bandicoot, Mega Man, and other characters as key partnerships.
Originally, players only saw a mysterious clip of Joker running with the caption: “Ready to take your heart.” This came from the official ATLUS X.com account, so speculation about Joker joining the game gained credibility fast. Now, Fortnite has officially revealed a full Persona 5 Phantom Thieves skin bundle, and we have an official release date.
Fortnite captioned the announcement with the group’s classic calling card: “Dear Fortnite: the Phantom Thieves of Hearts are coming.” The account showed three silhouettes of the game’s most well-known characters on a bright red background.
Which Characters are in the Bundle?
So far, we’ve only seen three confirmed characters in the Fortnite Persona 5 Phantom Thieves skin line. These are:
- Joker (Ren Amamiya)
- Panther (Ann Takamaki)
- Morgana
In addition to the Phantom Thieves, it’s pretty likely that we’ll see some Back Bling and other accessories become available, but we won’t know for sure until they hit the shop.
Persona x Fortnite Match Override?
Reputable leaker @HYPEX also claims the set will include a Morgana Van car and a Match Override. Reportedly, the Match Override may provide lifesteal, ‘siphoning 10% of damage dealt.’
How to Get the Fortnite Persona 5 Skins
Fortnite’s Phantom Thieves promo cautions that some of the bundle’s items will be paid skins. Players will need to use V-Bucks, the game’s premium currency, to unlock it.
Once you have enough V-Bucks, follow these steps:
- Open Fortnite and go to the Item Shop from the main lobby screen.
- Browse the featured skins and pick one you like.
- Select the skin and confirm your purchase.
- Head to the Locker tab from the lobby menu.
- Find your new skin under the Outfit section.
- Click the skin to equip it.
The Fortnite x Persona 5 Skins: Release Date
Fortnite’s Persona 5 skins will launch in the shop on September 25, 2026 at 0:00 ET. Here’s a time zone conversion for players in other areas:
- Eastern (EDT): 12:00 AM (Midnight)
- Pacific (PDT): 9:00 PM (previous day)
- Central US (CDT): 11:00 PM (previous day)
- Brazil (BRT): 1:00 AM
- BST (UK): 5:00 AM
- CEST (Central Europe): 6:00 AM
- Japan/Korea (JST/KST): 1:00 PM
