Overwatch’s newest hero D.Mon is almost here, and new leaks may have revealed all of her abilities. Let’s explore a full recap, including her Ultimate, shield, and more.

Who is D.Mon? New Overwatch Hero

D.Mon has hovered in the Overwatch lore for years, but she’s just now joining the game. Her real name is Yuna Lee, and she is one of D.Va’s MEKA Squad teammates. The South Korean MEKA squad assembled former esports players and turned them into super-soldiers. The team pilots mech robots while fighting to protect the country from Omnics.

D.Mon Overwatch Release Date

D.Mon will release in overwatch on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. She is part of Overwatch’s Season 4 launch, which has a ‘Heroes of Busan’ theme.

What Role is D.Mon in Overwatch?

According to leaks, D.Mon is reportedly a Tank hero in Overwatch. This means she has to protect and peel for squishier teammates, hold the frontline, and maintain map space. Her sub-role is the Stalwart class, which holds ground on the point. All Stalwart heroes take 40% less knockback and slows.

Is D.Mon a Dive or Brawl Tank?

D.Mon will probably be great in Dive comps, since leaks show her with quick movement abilities and melee weapons. However, a personal shield means she might be able to hold her ground in brawls too. It’s possible she will be quite a flexible pick.

New D.Mon Overwatch Ability Leaks

On August 9, 2026, Overwatch unveiled some D.Mon gameplay at the Overwatch Online event in China. Leaked videos of the seminar started spreading around social media. Netizens noticed that it seemed to reveal all of D.Mon’s abilities and show demonstrations in the Range.

Overwatch has not yet confirmed the leaks, but they have many similarities with D.Mon’s recent Hero Trailer and cinematic. The game also released a gameplay trailer, and the animations seem to match up. Here’s a full list of all the leaked abilities, their stats, and what they mean for the meta.

All Leaked D.Mon Abilities in Overwatch

Plasma Blade

D.Mon has an energy sword that she can use to slash opponents at a melee range. In the Chinese version leaks, this seems to be called ‘Plasma Blade.’

  • Damage: 60
  • Max Range: 5.5 Meters

Portable Fusion Repeater

D.Mon has a portable fusion repeater pistol system. It can critically hit enemies with headshots and has a 30-bullet capacity. She will have to reload after the ability runs out.

  • Damage: 12
  • Crit Area: Headshot
  • Crit Amount: x2
  • Ammo Size: 30

E: Rapid-Fire Fusion Repeater

Aside from her portable pistols, D.Mon has a rapid-fire fusion repeater on her mech. This resembles a machine gun, and it’s attached to her arm as a turret. It can also critically hit enemies and is a hitscan ability. This powered-up mode only lasts 4 seconds.

Notably, the leaks show that players can cancel this ability before it fully activates.

  • Damage: 15
  • Crit Area: Headshot
  • Crit Amount: x2
  • Duration: 4 seconds

Power Shield

D.Mon can put up a barrier, functioning as a shield. This shield is much smaller than Reinhardt’s or Rammatra’s. Those shields are very wide and are meant to hold space in choke points. D.Mon’s shield is thinner, and though there is room for teammates if they stand super close, it will be difficult to span most choke points with it.

  • Blocks ranged attacks. However, Melee abilities can pierce it.
  • It reportedly has 650 Health.

Surging Strike

Like D.Va, D.Mon can charge forward into enemies. This ability has knockback, so anyone hit will be sent flying. It will probably be great for teamfights since it can push enemies off the point. It’ll also be handy on maps like Ilios, where players love knocking enemies off bridges and into wells.

Propulsors and Energy System

According to the leaks, D.Mon’s kit relies on an energy system. Players use up her fuel while activating abilities like the Propulsor.

D.Mon can rev up the mech and activate a short-term move speed boost. This is similar to an existing ability in D.Va’s kit. It’ll help her escape sticky situations, rapidly move around the map, and dive enemies. The propulsor can only move horizontally, so it seems like D.Mon is not an aerial hero.

  • Lasts for 0.5 seconds. Reportedly costs 50% energy per second.

Eject and Rapid-Fire Fusion Repeater

Like D.Va, D.Mon can be de-meched. This seems to occur when she takes enough damage. There are visual indications that appear around the corner of the player’s screen, showing how close D.Mon’s mech is to breaking down.

Once D.Mon exits the mech, she gets a rapid-fire blaster. This object has a much faster fire rate than D.Va’s pistol and also seems to be more tracking-based.

What is D.Mon’s Ultimate in Overwatch?

Limit Break

According to leaks, D.Mon’s Ultimate allows her to “Unleash a sweeping slash that grants self overhealth and amplifies damage taken by enemies.” The Overhealth decays over time.

  • Damage: 125 (initial slash), 90 (second slash)
  • Overhealth: 300 (initial slash), 100 (second slash)
  • Overhealth Decay Time: 2 seconds

Call Mech

As part of her Ultimate, D.Mon can reportedly recall her suit with Call Mech. It is extremely similar to D.Va’s mech feature. However, there is a big difference: D.Mon can reportedly activate this in mid-air. In addition, the ability fully recharges when she gets Ressurected. This is an AOE feature.

D.Mon’s Overwatch Perks

It’s important to note that for now, the names and text of these Perks are translated from their original Chinese in the leaks.

Minor Perks

  • Meka Mobility: While holding down the Power Shield, booster fuel consumption is reduced by 30%.
  • Beast Within: Plasma Blade hits will heal the Power Shield for 40 health points.

Major Perks

  • Overstrike: Surging Strike gains 150% lifesteal.
  • Focused Fusion: Fusion Repeater fires powerful shots with no spread, but at a reduced rate of fire.
