Esports fans get a voice in the LCS Awards: viewers can vote for their favorite teams and players as the LCS Championship approaches. Let’s explore a recap of the voting process and how to keep up with the circuit.

What are the LCS Summer Split Awards?

As the LCS concludes, fans and industry experts alike participate in the LCS Summer Split awards, recognizing the region’s strongest League of Legends players. After the LCS Championship in Duluth, Georgia solidifies the tournament’s standings and final few Worlds qualifications, the Summer Split Awards add another layer of accomplishment to winning teams.

The LCS Championship and Summer Split Awards are sponsored by Kia. Award categories range for many different honors, including ‘Most Improved Player of the Year,’ ‘Rookie of the Year,’ ‘Summer Split MVP,’ and more titles. Riot notes that “the LCS honors the most exceptional talent […] These awards recognize the coaches and players whose performance, mechanics, and teamwork stood out at the highest level of play in League of Legends.”

How to Vote in the 2026 LCS Summer Split Awards

Tournament officials decide some LCS Summer Split Awards, but plenty are decided by fans and the voting process is open to all. League esports enthusiasts can vote at a dedicated website, linked here.

Riot Games explains the voting process: “Votes come from a panel including the LCS broadcast team, third-party media, and pro team representatives. Fan votes count as a single collective ballot.”

Voting is open between Friday, September 4 and Sunday, September 13 2026. 2026 LCS Summer Split votes specifically are available from September 6-9.

Each award will have a different announcement date:

  • Coaching Staff of the Split – September 10
  • Kia Most Improved Player of the Year – September 10
  • Kia All-Pro Teams 1, 2 and 3 – September 17
  • Kia Rookie of the Year – September 24
  • Kia Summer Split MVP – October 1

The LCS Summer Split Awards currently feature various categories. Some of these include full team rosters, so an entire lineup will earn accolades. Others focus on industry professionals like coaching staff. The circuit also aims to recognize newer players with ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Most Improved’ hallmarks.
